So, my ex wife bought me a razor similar to this from Skull Shaver. I'm pretty sure she paid almost $100. It died in under a year. I've been wanting another one like it but unwilling to spend that much money. I found this and ordered it. It came fully charged. It was packaged well. The directions are sparce. I've used it twice now. I use this on my head. It performs well! A better, closer shave than my SkullShaver! Quicker too! I can't speak on durability of this product yet, but at half or less the cost of the name brand, if this dies, I can order another and not feel bad.

I've been "shaving" my head for about 15 years. I put that in quotes because I really only used clippers on my head & took it down to the closest possible length. So it really wasn't a close shave. Using clippers took a lot of work and made a huge amount of mess to clean up. So much so that I would only do it every 1-1/2 to 2 weeks. This made it easier to see what I was trimming and limited the number of times I had to clean up after myself. This shaver is a total game changer. It had been almost two weeks since my last "shave" so my hair was on the longer side....probably around 3/16" long. This little hand lawn mower still shaved it clean!! It took a little longer and I had to clean out the hair from the shaver 2 or 3 times before I was done, but I was amazed at how well it painlessly and quickly took me down to a Bic type shave closeness. I've shaved a few times since my initial trial and it was a quick (less than a 3 minutes) shave. I wouldn't suggest cutting hair longer than about 1/8" long. My first shave took about 10 minutes between shaving & cleaning and it was kind of a pain in the but to clean because the hair was long. Subsequent shaves with very short hair took no time at all and was very easy to clean out because there were no long hair fibers sticking between the blades. A nice plus is the LED display that shows the amount of charge you have remaining.The other attachments are standard and work well. The style of the unit is a little gimmicky but I don't really care as I'm not looking at it when in use. I've used other shavers similar to this that only have 6 shaving heads so I was curious to see if the extra head would really make that much of a difference....it didn't. I feel like it still took the same amount of time to shave my head & I got the same "closeness" to my shave.

I purchased this product thinking it would be great after having my SMP procedure. When using my Wahl clipper, my scalp always came out smooth. After using this product, my scalp is now red and bumpy. I am extremely unhappy about how using this product 1 time completely messed up my scalp.
