Rocking Piston Aeration Kit (1/2 Hp, Green Steel Cabinet)

There was no instructions for pump assembly, installation or diffuser layout. Apart from that, the amount of hose I needed was 300 ft too short for the centered linear placement of the 3 diffusers that I wanted. Purchased another 300 ft of weighted hose to complete the installation.I opted to build my own pump house cabinet. Used scrap treated 2x8 boards and PVC/aluminum coil wrap to weather proof. Added 2 - 5 inch computer muffin fans (1 intake, 1 exhaust) to handle the cooling for the pump (it does generate heat). Mounted the cabinet on a 3ft poured pier, added a lock to discourage mischief, trenched 110ft from my outbuilding meter service to the pump house.Now, for my hard luck story. The very next day after installing and starting the pump, I noticed a dead fish floating on my 1.5 acre pond (near a diffuser). Hmmm. The next day there were a couple of dozen dead fish floating on the pond. By the end of the week, I collected and buried 195 dead fish (all varieties, channel cat, large mouth bass, blue gill, monster grass carp - pictures NOT included). The very thing I was trying to avoid happened! I can't blame the aeration pump, appears that I got hit hard with blue/green algae that bloomed to toxic red tide algae. My bad luck! I can only hope that the aeration pump has kept many fish alive and prevented a total loss of fish stock. I will have to wait until the algae bloom runs its course before I can completely assess and plan to restock.

It was delivered mid-July and it has been running just about 24 hours a day ever since. My husband was born and raised on a farm/ranch and has been around machinery all of his life. Since I was the one who purchased this kit I was really concerned about it meeting his high quality standards. After getting it all setup to go into the pond, he said it was really well-built, not only the compressor but the cabinet too! That is a huge compliment from him and I was truly relieved since this unit is on the pricey side. It really is worth the money to get something that is well built, thank you!

Very happy with system. I priced different systems from other vendors and this is a very good deal. Works just like I hoped. I am running the air from my detached garage about 150 ft to my 3/4 acre pond. Then it splits at the pond to each aeration head. The air bubbles coming out of both aeration heads is more than I expected. The control valve to control the flow to each head is high quality. Very happy with my purchase.Shipping was fast.

It's made in Taiwan - and that's where the warranty is supposed to be mailed to and where you have to call to get any repairs. Let's just hope it works perfectly for years to come.

I installed the 1/4HP aeration system in my pond in March 2019 and the motor now stopped working. There are no melted plastic parts. I have been waiting to hear from the company to respond for warranty coverage.

I bought this for my parents' pond. It is working as intended. It was fairly straight forward to install and is very quiet.

Having gone through 3 Aeration pumps, this item with its dry well ventilated container is the perfect solution to sustaining the pump in a dry warm environment against all types of weather condition, insects and others conditions that could compromise the pump.

I was told to expect the items between April 26 (Monday) and the 28th. The items were delivered on Saturday 24th. It rained all weekend and I wasn’t there because I wasn’t expecting a delivery. Sunday, I stood in the rain unpacking and putting parts in my garage to dry because the box the parts came in was too soaked to hold up.I hope my pump works because it’s NOT a submersible pump and it definitely got wet!I gave 3 stars because it might be a good pump if Amazon didn’t screw it up.
