This is just the stand for the plaque, but the plaque it’s self is flat. The stand goes in the ground. You purchase both separately

I just received mine and measured it. It is exactly 12.25" long, 6" High and 1/2" Thick. I am concerned that the "pocket" is too deep at .5" since my grave plaque is only 3/8" thick - it doesn't fit snugly at all so I am going to try to find a thinner one I guess.

Q: Can this stand support the stone?

Unless the ground is soft or sandy the stand should support the weight of the stone. Also, the stand is not as long as it appears in the picture. The spike is only 8 inches, so the stand would have to be driven into the ground till the stone was about ground-level.
