The sockets are fine, I think, though I haven't actually used them yet. But, as I saw reviews complaining about the holder, I thought I'd straighten out some confusion as to how it works. People are complaining that you need to use a screw driver to pry them off the holder. Well, at first, that's what I was experiencing. So, I took the time to look at their mechanism for releasing the sockets from their posts, and I could immediately see that the plastic tab at the bottom of the post that's supposed to be pressed inward to release the sockets, couldn't move inward, as it was intended to. So, I looked to see what was stopping it from moving further back, and I discovered that it hits a strip of white plastic that runs down the center of the holder. Then, I noticed that the white plastic strip has a place to grab it at the end of the holder where the largest sockets live. So, I grabbed it, and it pulled right out of the holder. Once it's out, pressing inward on the tabs at the bottom of the socket posts, easily releases all of the sockets. The white strip is meant to be a locking strip that can be slid back in when the sockets are being transported, to prevent accidental release and loss of any sockets. The only caveat is that it proves to be a bit difficult to slid back in, not perfectly aligning with all of its guide holes. But, with some persistence, it can be done in about 5 to 10 seconds. Personally, I think the holder is genius, but as there are no instructions, one needs to use some intelligence and study the thing to see how it works! Had they at least included a note to tell people how to release the sockets, I'd have given them 5 stars!!

These will replace another "cheap" set I carry in my vehicle. I literally cracked a 10mm socket a couple of weeks ago. I'm not willing to carry my tried and true old sockets in my vehicle. That's why I have roadside assistance.

A trick to getting these out is that they need to be wiggled out when you press the release tab. There are two plastic stoppers on the release that need to be finagled out of the way if that makes sense, makes it a lot easier to remove out.

can not remove socket from insert holder had to use screw driver and pliars to remove socket, did anyone test to remove socket for holder. before selling these..

The sockets themselves are actually very nice. Use them on a daily basis at work and have had no issues with the sockets. The holder they come with though, is unbelievebly frustrating. None of the "buttons" under any of the sockets would actually release them. Ended up tearing them out every time i needed a socket. Throw it away immediately and put these in something standard. Otherwise, solid set of sockets.

Wish you would make a set just like this in sae!
