I have had this about a year and it still works great. Comes on when it gets dark and goes off when it is light out. Perfect for my light by the front door.

I bought this to replace a dusk-to-dawn socket I had installed in an outdoor fixture that sucked. I’ve had TWO of those type of things fail or operate poorly. This bulb however works perfectly: the bulb lights up when the ambient light falls below a certain level, and shuts itself off at dawn as the sun rises. The light it provides is a nice, somewhat yellowish glow, and there’s plenty of it at 100W equivalent. The light is very much like a traditional incandescent bulb, and the light is well-distributed so it appears to be a standard bulb when illuminated. It’s approximately the same size and shape as a standard incandescent bulb, so this bulb will fit in any fixture. Some of these LED bulbs have unusually long necks, or overly large “bulb”. This one is perfect.

Two of these three bulbs are performing spectacularly--exactly as advertised, CRAZY bright. However, one of the three doesn't go on at dusk, which I suspect is based on its location in the fixture. That one still goes off at dawn, so it's not useless by any means, but it'd be nice to not have to flip this one off and on every night to trigger it. The other two are killer good--we've had a lot of petty crime in our area recently, and the brightness of these bulbs is a tremendous deterrent to any knuckleheads looking to stir up trouble.

The light sensor works perfect on these lights. With the price of electricity going up, this is the answer! I need to leave the front and back lights on at night since I own a 3 family. These are perfect. They go on at dusk and turn off at dawn, saving energy and thus, money. And they are super bright. I can't review the longevity as I just got these. 5 Stars!

Although some may think this is expensive, it works as advertised. Instead of buying a new solar lamp for my lamp post I just bought this light bulb put it in and it works perfectly. One note for everyone that buys this, once you turn it on it does come on and will stay on for a little while until it reads the ambient light. So, if you turn on during the day, the light will come on but after it reads the ambient light it will turn the light off. That also happens if you lose power. Overall I’m very satisfied so far. I don’t know the longevity yet of course but he used them for the last several months and so far so good.

Estos focos son una maravilla. Se encienden cuando se pone el sol. Los he instalado 6 en el exterior de la casa, en faroles de la pared, faroles de la barda y en dos porches. Es una manera de tener la casa iluminada toda la noche a bajo precio pues solo se prenden cuando se necesitan. Además aunque no haya nadie en casa se prenden a la hora que termina la luz del día por lo que también sirven de protección. Los recomiendo ampliamente.

Excelente iluminación y muy practico que se encienda solo, solo que si se necesita estar limpiando el sensor para que funcione mejor.

I opted for GE bulbs because of their quality reputation. I was not disappointed. The bulb is bright white and automatically comes on at dusk and off at dawn. It has two photo sensors on opposite sides. Pricier than other less recognized brands but I definitely recommend.

Installed these on the outside of the garage and back entry to the house. Very bright without being annoying, no blue tint like some brighter LED lights. The solar sensor works very well and turns the lights on and off at appropriate level of daylight. They've been in use all summer and fall without any issues. Would purchase again. A bit pricey for a bulb, but I've purchased off brand bulbs and solar sensors in the past to disappointing results. These are better quality.
