Floating Shelf (36" x 10" x 1.5") - White

Simple design but it's not 2" thick, so very lightweight. The melamine is so thin that I hope the 1/2" set screws actually hold the shelf on the wall. Also the packaging is not designed for shipping as its plastic and paper wrapped. All 5 I ordered arrived with a broken or chipped corner, but I had to go ahead with the install as had hired a person to do the install.

Not that sturdy, but will work for most peoples applications if the uaage is primarily aesthetic. The reason i gave 4 stars was because the vendor sent 1 white shelf and 1 black shelf when i clearly ordered 2 white. The inconvenience alone really pissed me off.

The shelf itself is great, but the hardware that came with it was terrible. We had to go to the hardware store and get something that wouldn't turn with the screws or push through the wall.

I got these for my son's room. Perfect size and depth for books. The hardware is decent but it's fallen off my walls before. For the price it's worth going to the hardware store and getting better screws and butterflies.
