Final Fantasy X-2: Original Soundtrack

Ok, I know this has been said NUMEROUS times, yet here it is again: its not Nobou Uematsu, but its good. Actually, to me it was just OK. For what its worth, I did like the music enough to buy the CD, but I only really like about half of the CD. The music isnt BAD, its just that its the type of score that doesnt sound as good outside the game as it would when you are playing it. I think this can be attributed to the fact that this guy is a newbie to the FF music production, and obviously he has sizable shoes to fill in Uematsu's absence. Truth be told, this is pretty good for a first effort, but in the end, the music just didnt live up to the legacy left behind by Uematsu. There are definaly some good, stand out tracks on this CD, theres no question about that. I especially like listening to the newly composed scores to Guadosalam, Mt. Gagazet, Besaid, and a good few of the action tacks.Obviously, you should buy this CD at your own discretion. If you are a true and faithful Final Fantasy fan, and a lover of its music, then you should have this in your collection just for the hell of it. There is enough here to keep you at least mildly satisfied. However, if your a super hardcore Nobou Uematsu fan (meaning you wont like it unless its him) then i wouldnt suggest you buying this one, because you might end up being mad that you did.

Although a strict departure from previous styles of the series, I felt it was an excellent and wise choice of music for a more upbeat title. That being said, I loved FFX's music also. Different doesn't mean better or worse, just different. That being said, if I hadn't played the game, I would've been confused about the abrupt change in the sound from the FFX to FFX-2, but I understood that the whole world of Spira and the lives of the protagonist had changed and the music complements it well. The soundtrack mostly exudes the excitement in the new world that YRP are part of.

one of the reasons I had purchased this CD/DVD set was because Rikku is one of my favorite characters and since they dont have a CD/DVD set like this for the american version and i wanted to see the quality of the DVD and hear any other songs that associate with Rikku I love how this CD and DVD where and certainly different from what i have ever seen before i don't understand the japanese words but i love how the songs sound and how the vocals where they where just absolutely amazing

I was suprised to get this in a 2 disc set rather than 4 but this came straight from japan not amarican release, with every song in the game and guide booklet (in japan) its really not shocking how expensive music in this ganre can go for its really a lot of work to produce it>.

I recently got this soundtrack on the 14th on March the soundtrack is wonderful and the surprise that came with it was unexpected but it’s a good one

I really liked the soundtrack. One of my favorite songs on the soundtrack was "On Silver Wings". It may be in Japanese but it sounded beautiful. I was actually glad for this soundtrack.

At a first glance you may seem to be buying something woth your money but dont be fooled, I found a copy of this very 2-cd album for £6 inc P&P.Most of the album is really good until you get to the spokern songs, this is an album for the kinds of people that dont mind their songs in various languages other than English.Dont get me wrong tho, there are English words and phrases throughout.You just need to be aware that this is the 'origional version' I have yet to find one that sings '1000 words- a wish that spans the ages' in English.The piano and orchestral other songs are the same. I dont expect good comments from this post, but atleast its the truth. I wont stand for sellers that dont 'give information' clearly to its customers.

It works well as travelling music, but unfortunately the disk will not play in my car stereo. Works fine on my PC though.
