Great pic in day or night, impressively feature-filled software, works with 3rd party apps like the incredible free Ispy
Surprisingly good camera, the technology has gone a long way. Great pic in the day, crisp and clear. At night the infrared night vision lights come on and it does a great job in the dark. The camera settings are feature-filled including settings to upload regularly to an ftp server or to send emails through smtp. Connects great to the free 3rd party software Ispy which does great motion detection (camera also has it's own recording to SD card that I haven't played with). In Ispy search for an IP camera and it will find it. The different options it finds are the different resolutions. Choose the one with snap.jpg in it for full hdmi resolution. Wifi signal seems good, or you can run an ethernet cable to your router (direct ethernet cable to pc didn't seem to work, maybe need crossover cable?). Really no issues with it all yet other than the manual is pretty brief and it took me a while to realize I needed to add an "IP Camera" in Ispy. Also I didn't have a CD rom drive for the driver cd but it worked great without it and found later you can install the software just by connecting to the camera in your web browser via it's ip address (like 192.1.1.3). So you can view the feed in a browser, phone, or in 3rd party software. Great feature-rich camera, does a lot more than I expected.edit: Cam saves to a .264 format. WTF is wrong with you? Losers
