Unfortunately I have to update my previous positive review. After 2 weeks it stopped working halfway through downloading a set of pictures. I returned the unit and decided to spend the extra money for the Sony version. I’m happy to say the Sony is working very well and very fast.

BUYER BEWARE! This product does not serve it’s intended purpose at all. After going through two different copies of the same device, my XQD card still was not being recognized by my Mac or PC. The SD card reader works fine, but there are countless options that are cheaper, better, and provide more functionality than this. The XQD reader does not work at all, no matter what kind of computer, which usb port I use, or which way I have the plug in oriented. I honestly feel guilty having bought it in the first place as it’s such a waste of resources just to create a worthless paperweight. Steer clear of this and this seller’s items at all costs!!

A necessity if you use a XQD memory card. I use a NIKON D850 which uses both a XQD and a SD card for backup/overflow. The only issue I have is I would like to have a longer cord. Other than, it works perfectly.

ONCE one Steps up on Camera tech Heavy models Use Different Items. The XQD Sony Card in my D850 was a Shock after buying the multi dollar camera. I have had success on Downloads to my desktop but in the field or At a clients Site a Quick review was Difficult. Special cables and all Make for bulky carry on. Now a Reader and a few minutes they see the results and can get started on their project. Great Price and solid build Very Happy

Thought to give this a try as it is half the cost of the Sony reader. Well, the quality and reliability reflects directly with the cost. It works when you first insert the card, but then it would stop, where computer and laptop wouldn't recognize its existence. After failing a few times, I went the old fashioned way by putting the card back in my camera and using a cable to complete the transfers. This card reader is being returned. Even at half the cost, not worth the hassle of not knowing if it will work or if it may damage or delete my files.

Very fast reader for XQD and SD cards

Card reader comes with a USB C connector which just plugs in to your computer. Card reader is a good size and reads files very fast. Build quality is also very good. If treated with respect the card reader should last for a very long time. All in all, highly recommended.
