Haven’t quite finished yet, but this is one of the rare pbn’s that looks like an oil painting. Paint colors are like the demo photo (more rare than you might think). My only issue is that the printing on the canvas is not dark enough, especially with the texture of the canvas. I tried different light sources until I found one that worked for me. All in all, this is one of the better projects to tackle, especially if you want a challenge. I wish there were more projects like this out there!

Someday this may become an awesome project. However, it still is unopened, patiently waiting for the amateur resident artist to finish an existing project. Then, and only then, will a true review be possible!

First, this kit comes folded at the edges of the canvas. So before you even start, you have to iron it. No big deal, I’ve ironed my canvases before, but where you fold it is concerning. Right on the edge of the picture, so you either have to stretch the canvas to paint in it, or have these weird ridges right on the edge of the picture.Second, the lines for the numbers are WAY too light. I tried to paint about 4 different numbers and I can’t even see the lines. Even with my spot light. I’m just going to throw this away.I’m surprised people even order from you, especially if you’re a beginner, which I’m not.Most people do this for relaxation. Your product is definitely not relaxing.

As a kid, I used to love doing paint by numbers projects. I recently rediscovered the hobby. I find doing a paint by numbers painting so relaxing, it just melts my stress away. The paint by numbers relaxes me and makes me feel like I actually have some talent :) No staring at an empty canvas with no clue what to do.This set comes with everything you need to create this beautiful painting - canvas with pre-printed numbers, paints and four paint brushes. The only thing not included is a cup for water to clean the brushes.The numbering on this painting took some getting used to because the numbers were really small, light colored and the numbers didn't all face the same direction. Some of the numbers were upright while others were printed from the left, right, or bottom (upside down). It took some time getting used to that. Also, because the numbers and lines were so light colored - a pale grey - sometimes it was really hard to read them - I ended up using a magnifying glass (not included) to read the numbers and see the lines.The paint pots provided plenty of paint for the project, I didn't run out of any color. A couple of the paints were a little dry/thick, but a few drops of water fixed that problem. Although there were four paint brushes provided, I found myself only using two of them, but, better to have too many to select from than too few.Because of the size of the canvas, I found it easier to fold the canvas while working on it, however, later, that caused a slight problem - the canvas kind of cracked along the fold lines (see picture). When I first noticed it, I thought the whole painting was ruined, but with a little extra paint along "the fault line" I was able to repair it.While doing the painting, I felt like there was no way my attempt at painting it would actually result in the beautiful painting it was supposed to be, but alas (or at last!) once completed, it really did come out looking like the painting on the box cover!For a relaxing, no pressure pastime, whether young or old, I would highly recommend this paint by numbers painting. I think this would be appropriate for a teenager or older.Buy this painting, you won't regret it.

The print on the canvas is very light and very difficult to see. I normally enjoy paint by numbers projects but this one due to very light print proved to be a headache. I am not at all enjoying doing it

I have done quite a few paint-by numbers over the last couple of years and this is an inferior product! It is incredibly difficult to see the numbers at all, some are almost impossible. I will not buy from this maker again.
