This is it!
I recently purchased the Nerd Chef Magic Peel and I am blown away by how well it works. This pizza peel truly lives up to its name - it is pure magic! The non-stick surface makes it easy to transfer pizzas onto the stone and the 14" width is perfect for larger pizzas. The peel is made of high-quality materials and has a sturdy construction that feels solid in my hands. The beveled edge allows me to easily slide the peel under the pizza without damaging the crust or toppings.I also appreciate that the peel is easy to clean and maintain. The non-stick surface makes it a breeze to wipe down after use, and the handle is detachable for easy storage.Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase of the Nerd Chef Magic Peel. It has made pizza night at home so much easier and more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who loves making pizza at home, whether you're a novice or a pro. It really is the perfect pizza peel!

The only way to make homemade pizzas!
To be honest, I really don't understand how people can make pizzas on homemade dough and transfer them to the oven/grill without the pizza blowing up on them without this paddle. The cloth slide feature makes it incredibly easy to get the pizza into the oven without being a professional or a magician. I haven't washed the fabric cover yet, so I am slightly worried about shrinkage or how to get it back on to the board correctly, but my dad has one of these and hasn't had a problem with it. If you have trouble getting homemade pizzas into the oven or grill, this is the paddle for you!!

It works great, but… please read
Full disclosure, our first attempt with this was a horrendous disaster. Our pizza was smashed on one end and made a giant mess all over the oven, the pizza steel and the pizza slide. Well, we thought about returning this, but determined to make it work, we made another attempt with this since I had made enough dough for 2 pizzas. Here’s what we discovered. The first pizza was a full batch of dough that I loaded with stuffed crust, lots of sauce, a ton of cheese and olives on top. It made the slide way too heavy and it simply would not slide. So for our next attempt, we took the dough and sectioned it into fourths. We flattened it out really thin and just put a small amount of sauce and cheese on it using only a fourth of the dough at a time and the slide worked perfectly. We repeated this 3 more times, adding more sauce, cheese and olives on top, and every pizza came out perfectly. The moral of the story for us is that we needed less dough for ours to work properly. Once we got the hang of it, it worked beautifully and we are really happy we kept it. I want to add too that I washed the fabric and that was super easy to take it off and put it back on after washing. I’m including the pizza dough recipe for anyone that wants it.Mix 1 cup all purpose or bread flour with 3/4 teaspoon sea salt, 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar and 1 packet of rapid yeast. Whisk together until well mixed then add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 3/4 cup warm (not hot) water and one more cup of flour. Mix well into a nice round. Remove from the bowl and coat the inside of the bowl with more olive oil. Roll the dough around in the oil until it’s nice and coated and set it in the bowl. Cover the top of the bowl with plastic wrap and a towel and set aside for 33 min or until the dough has about doubled in size. Use right away or wrap and refrigerate for later.

Poor Quality control
The design could work well with better materials and better quality control. If you put it down on 800 degree stone for two seconds, it starts to burn. It was very difficult to get the fabric to move correctly with the 12 pizzas we have made. I took it apart and discovered two major problems with ours. The wood's front edge is jagged and sharp in places instead of smooth and rounded which causes the fabric to grab and not move while you are holding a pizza close over a 800 degree stone trying to get it off. Secondly, the flat wood surfaces are rough and should have been sanded much better with a finer sand paperI will try and see if I can fix these issues by sanding the wood thoroughly. This should have been done by the manufacturer and not be the responsibility of the purchaser. I would not recommend this item as we received it.Update 6/19: I contacted seller and they sent me a new one, I took it apart and it did not have the issues of the first one so I am upgrading review from one to three stars. It works great loading a pizza on it where you can push the leading edge down on the surface and take your time to slide and push at the same time. It still doesn't slide great with a medium pizza trying to hold it just above a 800 degree stone while being constrained by the top of the pizza oven. We are trying to figure out if we can somehow attach metal bars on the outside edges so that we can rest the metal bars on the hot pizza stone and not burn the cloth. We may have to make the bars slightly moveable in order to be able to load the pizza

Does Not Work! Ruins Pizza
I am extremely frustrated with this product. Do not believe the silky smooth operation shown in their product video. Once you put a pizza on it, the slider just gets stuck and the fabric doesn’t move. I have tried so many times standing in front of my 550f stone trying to get my pizza onto it using this thing and it never worked. It ruined so many of my beautiful pizzas! I thought it was my technique but no, the product is badly designed. The edge is way too sharp so the fabric once has weight on it can’t move over it. It should be round and smooth. Sure it makes picking up harder but who cares about that? We want to get it in first! The peel is also way too heavy to hold in one hand. Remember you need to use your other hand to slide! It is unnessary to make it so thick n heavy. It is just a pizza! I want so much for this peel to work like it promised but it doesn’t, at all. After ruining 10 pizzas over this I am convinced this is a bust.

Great for pizza night
We make pizza about once a week and we could never get the dough off spatula on to stone in oven. Bought this and it is amazing! No problem moving dough or pizza! Absolutely the best
