Surprised how small these were. I looked at the pictures of the item and the things that supposedly could be made from them. I should have read the size but the pictures are very misleading.We needed something soft for my 8 year old to start with.This is not suitable.I cant find a way to return it. I somehow thought i would get more for£13. This is cut up 3/4” baton

Brought for whittling. Usually use lime wood as it is softer. However found this basewood to be okay,a little harder to work,but as long as tools are sharp its good.

These are very nice pieces of wood. All cut true and nicely finished, they are great for carving or small projects.

Ich bin absoluter Anfänger, was das Schnitzen angeht. Da ist es doch klar, dass ich mich nicht gleich an teurem Hartholz ausprobiere.Diese 12 Holzblöcke sind aus angenehm weichem Lindenholz.Ich finde das ideal für den Anfang und zum Üben.Wenn man die Tüte öffnet, müffelt es ein wenig, aber nicht nach Holz...... Dieser Geruch gibt sich mit der Zeit.Die Holzblöcke befinden sich in einer Plastiktüte mit Zip Verschluss. Ich habe sie auch dadrin gelassen, und den Zip Verschluss verschlossen, obwohl das Holz zusammen mit dem Werkzeug in einer verschlossenen Holzkiste liegt. Aber ich möchte dem Austrocknen vom Holz vorbeugen. Obwohl..... so viel, wie ich zur Zeit übe, muss ich mir weniger Gedanken ums Austrocknen als vielmehr um eine weitere Bestellung machen...........Ja, ich bin sehr zufrieden mit diesen Holzblöcken aus weichem Lindenholz, den Preis empfinde ich als fair. Ich muss aber zugeben, dass ich keinen Vergleich habe, da ich wie gesagt erst mit dem Schnitzen angefangen habe, und zuvor noch niemals Schnitzholz gekauft hatte.Wie dem auch sei, ich werde mir dieses Holz wieder kaufen.
