The product pictures do not do this lamp justice at all!First, this is a gorgeous and extremely modern design for a lamp. It is optimally balanced and will not tip over. The lamp base is a soft silicon type material that feels like silk when held. The "arm" is located in this covering and allows for all sorts of lighting angles. The lamp is made of smooth metal with the Led embedded perfectly inside. The back of this holding has a glass cut out that shows the lamb's name... Very classy. The controls are ULTRA sensitive and respond amazingly well. A slight pressure almost as if it actually senses the heat from your hand turns this light on, while the sleek control panel changes the lighting mode and lighting brightness. Again, possibly the most beautiful lamp I've ever purchased.It is powered by a rechargeable internal battery that has a very long use time. I have not gotten 40 hours but I've definitely gone a few nights out of each charge.I love that it really does have 18 different lighting modes. You are going to enjoy this lamp for reading, ambient lighting and for general lighting needs. It is bright enough to see by and dims enough not to be a bother.My only con (and it's not a con really but actually a product improvement) would be for a soft carrying case to use on outings and that there was a battery indicator. There is a blue light that flashes to let you know you have a few minutes of light left but a battery indicator would have been sweet.I actually purchased this item and was not given a free product to review. First off, this lamps looks amazing.The packaging it came was beautiful, needless to say that it came like it was a gift that the son of Zeus was giving to me. Like a little kid on Christmas I opened it up, tried to turn it on... but it came without charge :(.After charging it for at least half an hour, it was ready to go. I had my fair share of wireless lamps but this one was the best. The four types of lighting it provides are amazing and the sensitivity of the buttons are pretty good. It's quite worth the $$$ spent on itWrapping it up, it's an amazing lamp to take to the library, office or home while working or studying.Update 10/19/16:After a while the lamp started to discharge more quickly, customer service of Luxe contacted me to ask me how this lamp worked for me, told them the problem and in a couple of hours I had a 99% discount code for another lamp. It goes without saying that they truly appreciate a customer.It's an amazing lamp with awesome features.

This fixture is becoming indispensable. I received one as a Christmas gift for my desk work, and it proved to be so helpful that I bought another one for my wife to use in her jig-saw puzzle assembly. Neither of us is disappointed. With a variety of brightness and intensity levels, the light produced is dependable and reliable. There is no sudden dimness, or unexpected blackouts. It recharges easily and works well while being recharged. If I needed a light source in a challenging place, I'd buy another one. This is an excellent product, and well worth the money. Don't just take my word for it, however, buy one and see (pun intended) for yourself!

This is a lovely lamp that comes exquisitely packaged. The lamp itself is sleek, lightweight, quite flexible easily portable and does not get hot. The rubbery covering on the base of the lamp is pleasant to the touch, luxurious. However, it doesn't give off enough light to justify the price. It needs at least one (or ideally two) brighter light settings to be a practical reading lamp. As it is, the amount of light it does give is rather narrowly cast so you (and your book) need to be unreasonably close to the lamp to get your reading done. However, if you're looking for a rechargeable conversation piece that yields pleasant mood lighting, this lamp will do the job beautifully. I'll be buying another lamp to read by but I'll be keeping this one for ... well, I'm not sure yet but it really is nice. Maybe for midnight bubble baths or evenings at the beach?

First of all, here's a tip to recharge the lamp...I use a power block that I got for an Android micro USB to USB phone. When my Luxe lamp needs a recharge I simply plug it in to that power block that I keep on my computer desk near the lamp. Now, about that lamp...I absolutely LOVE IT. I just bought another one for the computer in my back room. I find absolutely no problem with the battery life. The way the lamp adjusts you can work it to just the right angle. The design is the most beautiful out there right now. I also love the 4 type of light settings and the finger slide brightness. This is such a wonderful lamp and it does not take up a lot of room. It's perfect. I bought the space grey. I did a LOT of browsing on Amazon and decided on this one. Get it. It's PERFECT!

Great design. Very modern, sleek look. I have it on my desk at work and get compliments on it. The lighting is muted, not bright or glaring. The brightest setting is not as bright as other lights but fine for me. I would have given this five stars except for two small things. For a $70 lamp, it was annoying that it did not come with a USB power brick, just the cord. Also, the charging cord is white and plugs into the front of the lamp which really cheapens the look while charging the lamp. Not sure if I can at least get a black cord.

I like to read my Kindle before going to sleep. I get sleepy and have to get out of bed to turn off the light, thus waking back up. I have a king size bed so this light, my Kindle and my glasses fit nicely on the opposite side of the bed. I live in a condo community and we lose power every now and then. This gives me another light source that I don't have to worry about batteries, matches, etc. So happy I found this light on line. Thanks.

This Luxe lamp provides great light for very detailed work. I do a lot of beading and love the lightweight, easily portable fixture. But it does not last 40 hours on high beam as advertised. I can use it for about 3 hours on high and then it needs to be recharged. But I would still recommend it as a high quality lamp that is easy to transport. I take it to classes and it is very helpful.
