Don't let the tiny size fool you because this is a fully featured mixed signal test & measurement system. BitScope BS10 It's a complete USB oscilloscope, logic analyzer, arbitrary waveform generator and spectrum analyzer all rolled into one ! BS10 is far more than just a logic protocol analyzer; it's a fully featured portable oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, waveform generator, power supply and logic analyzer in a compact USB powered unit. It has multi-range analog channels with adjustable input offsets, level adjustable logic comparators for two of its eight logic channels and it's compatible with the dual channel active differential probe making possible differential measurements not otherwise possible, especially in such a compact instrument. At its heart is the BitScope DSP Capture Engine. This is responsible for the primary waveform and protocol capture functions and synchronizes with the mixed signal trigger and waveform and clock generators. It also manages the logic and analog buffers, input channel ranges and offsets. Working in concert with the BitScope software applications on the host computer, BS10's signal acquisition, processing and sythesis components operate together to implement a wide range of test and measurement instruments many of which can operate at the same time.

Do yourself a favor, buy a real scope.
My 8-year old GWInstek scope makes this look like a toy.PROS: The display can be as big as your computer monitor! API allows you to program it, and write your own data acquisition software. Can run on PC, Mac and Linux, including Raspberry Pi! Maybe the logic analyzer is valuable, but I haven't tried it.CONS: Very hard to view a 1MHz sine wave, I don't know why they even try to think about 40Mhz! It is hard to get a stable waveform display. There is no AC coupling, they try to simulate this in software, that makes the waveform move up and down a lot. Difficult to control something as simple as the vertical offset of a trace. It requires you to hit the ZERO button, to lock the trace to the offset! I think the biggest limitation is the time it takes to send a buffer of data over USB. Triggering works okay, but its so much easier to do it with a real scope. If you want a scope, you are much better off with a RIGOL or Siglent scope that costs under $300. I knew this was not as good as a real scope before I bought it, however, I wanted it to record large blocks of electrical data, however this can't even do that reliably! This would be a fine toy for $99, but for $300 with the stupid scope-probe adapter, its a real waste of money.I'm glad I bought it from Amazon, I don't have to return it to Austrailia!

Does Not Fully support MacOS Catalina
When I emailed about Catalina support they responded right away and provided a link to the beta version. The software interface for this product for MacOS Catalina is still in beta and not all features are supported.I needed something that was fully functional with Catalina so I have returned the product.

Five Stars
A really fantastic product. A lot of instrumentation bang for your bucks!

CHEAP -- and you get what you pay for
So far I'm hoping the DIGITAL part is better than the analog because that was an utter disappointment.IMPORTANT : You know that this is a VERY SLOW device when it asks to install a RS232 driver to communicate via USB.One task I had was to sample at a rate of 1...10s samples per second -- that speed is no problem for the UART connection. Still, itwouldn't do that. The responses still were slow and it did not live up to the full-featured advertising. So far I whole-heatedly regret buying this (not via Amazon) and consider it a complete write-off.

Great hobby scope.
Great for audio, slow/medium rate digital (with the logic analyzer portion), and basic RF. Also works in a pinch as a basic SDR in ETS mode (so long as all the signals you're looking for are narrowband in modulation). Linux software is great (they even have an ARM port for RPi)... don't know about Winblows and Mac OS. One thing I might point out is, you really need to know how this little matchbox works in order to use it, it's been known to put most people off if they don't read up on the design (it's a stripped down version of a kind of old semi-kludge design, but that does indeed work). This being said IS a little overpriced, but I fancy it so much I still had to give it five stars. If you aren't willing to put up with it's quirks, I would recommend the Analog Discovery 2 (I'm considering getting one of those too to augment my little setup). Just FYI btw, I bought this thing direct from Bitscope in Australia that's why I'm not a "verified purchaser."
