Does this product work in the United Kingdom?

Yes it does, it just plugs in to a usb socket or adapter. It will send email messages out, but I must admit I have no idea regarding the text messaging side of it. Also, in the setup, the only regions that seem to be available (for time zones) are U.S. regions. This doesn't stop it working, but the times stated in the messages it sends out won't be UK times.

Works as advertised

This connects to your wifi, if the power goes down it sends you an email. It works because my wifi is on an uninterruptible power supply so my wifi stays alive if the power goes off.

NOT FOR THE UK

Read the reviews. They are mainly from the USA. There is one from Germany saying that the SIM only works in the USA. Nowhere does any of the Amazon UK blurb state whether this works in the UK. My guess is that it does not. TAKE IT OFF YOUR SITE, AMAZON, OR EXPLAIN WHETHER IT WORKS IN THE UK.
