Simple Sabotage Field Manual

Awesome! (If your country is being invaded by a hostile power)
This book is devious. Who at strategic services wrote it I wonder? ... They need a psychiatrist. Awesome book if you want to be put on a government watchlist. (I can neither confirm nor deny ever doing contract work for any government agency... abduct me, fake my death in the real world, and buy me a 007-inspired, tricked-out, military HMMWV in flat black with LR thermographic cams, and RC PD-100 BLACK HORNETs and I'll sign my soul over to you)

A fun read
The info is very dated, but provides good insight into devious minds of the past.

Quick read
Nice quick read with some interesting and maybe useful information. Recommended by Jocko Willink so I gave it a whirl. Wasn't disappointed.

Wow
This is what the MVA uses as a training manual. This book really opens your eyes to what's been happening in USA the last few years . Everything from using emotional responses and crying when someone accuses you of wrongdoing to creating large committees of useless bureaucrats to slow the whole system down is in the book

What it is.
A declassified and released manual could only contain so much. The best thing to gain from this manual is the mentality of sabotage. The psychological aspect is pertinent and while the specifics of techniques in the manual are antiquated, the idea behind it is still valid. It helps you think the proper way to achieve your goal of disruption.

This book is very basic and not very interesting
I don't think the author is a native English speaker or it is extremely dated. Poorly laid out sentences with a lot of repetition of half formed thoughts. They used words like W.C. and several other European words that an American wouldn't have used which is suspicious for a "United States" military manual. They kept calling flammable "inflammable" and just lots of little oddities. I've read a lot of historical 1940s military manuals and they're usually of much higher quality and usually present their topics much more orderly fashion and usually included diagrams. They list "stupidity" as a form of sabotage, which aims up this manual nicely. Save yourself the waste of time. Came for a fun historical read and got this odd book instead.

Buon documento storico
Buon documento storico che anche se datato i principi in esso enucleati sono ancora validi. Copertina intrigante, testo breve e facile da leggere sebbene solo in inglese.

Tiny book with plenty of nuggets on how not to run a company
Used ChatGPT for that tiny book filled with nuggets of how NOT to run a company. The Simple Sabotage Field Manual is a declassified document originally produced by the United States' Office of Strategic Services during World War II. The manual provides instructions on how to conduct acts of sabotage against an enemy in a way that is subtle and difficult to detect. As a book, the manual is concise and straightforward, with practical advice on how to carry out acts of sabotage in various contexts, including the workplace, transportation systems, and communication networks. The manual provides a list of easy-to-execute tactics that can be used to disrupt operations and slow down productivity, such as deliberately misplacing important documents or tools, creating confusion by providing conflicting instructions, and subtly damaging equipment or machinery. While the tactics outlined in the manual are certainly not ethical or legal when used against civilian targets, the document offers a fascinating glimpse into the strategies employed by intelligence agencies during wartime. The manual's relevance extends beyond the context of World War II, as it offers insights into how small acts of sabotage can be used to disrupt organizations and systems even in peacetime.Overall, the Simple Sabotage Field Manual is a fascinating historical document that provides a unique perspective on the tactics used in espionage and intelligence operations. While not a guide to ethical behavior, the manual offers valuable insights into the psychology of sabotage and the ways in which organizations can be disrupted from within.
