Did not understand this would be hard like plastic, returned since I was looking for more cushiony, spongy like quality.

With three people sharing a bathroom, one of whom is a runner and one of whom is a cyclist, our shower gets a LOT of use, both morning and night. The microfiber bath mats I had before were never getting dry, and were starting to smell.If you step out of the shower with wet feet, your footprints will start to fade immediately, and will be gone in less than 5 minutes. Pools of water are absorbed almost instantly.Keep in mind that this is porous stone, not a soft mat. It has a texture much like a pizza stone or a smooth pumice stone.Also, when I put this in our bathroom, I put a sheet of non-skid easyliner under it to keep it in place and keep from scratching the tile floor.

Poor quality, warped after a few days of usage like it was made of wood.
