Got a great deal on Amazon. Have always liked this brand of knives. They stay very sharp and feel great in your hand.

A good set of knives for a beginner, although the finishing on them is a little rough. They can beat up your fingers during heavy use and could use some filing along the spine. A few of the knives seem redundant, and a good chef knife and parer could be purchased individually for a similar price.

These knives feel good in your hands and make short work of any prep work you need to do. The sizes included are exactly what I need for any task and I'm delighted with them. They look great in your kitchen and the revolving triangular block doesn't take up a lot of counter space.I didn't buy my set from Amazon, I got them from another retailer, and when they arrived the knife block was dented. The knives were perfect for me so I didn't want to return the set. I noticed a sticker with an 800 number saying to call if there were any problems. I did, and the company's owner, Rich Menefee, did indeed answer the phone. He sent a replacement block that arrived in a few days. You can't go wrong with this company's products or their customer service.
