Lubegard Bio/Tech Engine Oil Protectant may have saved the day!
I have been a user of Lubegard Red transmission additive for many years, so I decided to try the Bio/Tech Engine Oil Protectant for the first time.I added it to the engine in my wife's 2011 Toyota Sienna when I did a recent oil change at 100k miles. This van has the 3.5L 2GR-FE V6, and I've done 10k mile oil changes using 0w-20 full synthetic since new. The engine has always been reliable and uses no oil between changes.About 1,000 miles after this oil change my wife pulled into the driveway and I see a long trail of motor oil being left on the pavement behind her. I check the oil and there is nothing showing on the dipstick. My wife claimed that the oil pressure warning light never came on and that the engine sounded normal.I crawled underneath and determined that a rubber hose between the engine and the oil cooler had developed a pinhole leak which had coated the entire undercarriage with motor oil. I had the van towed to a Toyota dealer and they said that this is a fairly common problem with the 2GR-FE of that era, and that Toyota had updated the part with steel hard lines. This hose repair was completely covered by an extended warranty on that part with no cost to me.The best part is that the engine seems to have survived the oil leak unscathed. I don't know how much motor oil was still left in the engine, but there was a lot of it on the ground. The engine runs and sounds exactly the same as before. Now I can't say for sure that using the Lubegard additive prevented a tragedy in this case, but I do believe that it helped to keep the engine protected during this oil loss problem. I will continue using this Lubegard product in all of my engines from now on for the peace of mind that it brings.Update 05/01/23: I just did the 130k mile oil change on this van and the engine is still running great! Of course, I put in the Lubegard Bio/Tech additive like always. It is a great product and I now use it in all of my engines. I've found that it is cheapest on Amazon in the 32-ounce size and have been buying that recently.Update 08/12/24: The Sienna recently had another oil change at 150k miles and everything is still just fine. The engine runs smoothly and uses no oil between 10k changes. I'm continuing to use the Bio/Tech even though the price has increased (like everything else). By doing my own oil changes I save enough to offset spending more for such a great product.

really great product, minimal investment
my transmission mechanic recommended lubegard trans products when i was experiencing trans slips in my civic at 130k miles. my car now has 252k miles and lubegard dramatically improved my situation where i now don't experience any more trans slips.since i was so thrilled and impressed with their trans products, i decided to try their oil additive. i used to be a lucas guy, which seemed to be fine but i think this works even better. my car runs SO SMOOTH after an oil change. i contacted the company about how much should be added and they said 3 ounces per quart. my civic takes 4 quarts, so i have my mechanic add 12 ounces of lubegard.i do a ton of stop and go driving doing deliveries and like i said, my car has 252k miles and still runs really well. i truly feel lubegard has a lot to do with it. it's a very minimal investment and i've been really happy with it. i truly feel it's helped extend the life of my car.

Works on my Hemi RAM
I read about this stuff in the RAM forums. I had purchased a 2021 RAM 1500 with the 5.7L Hemi and at 450 miles I was hearing a tick in the engine at start up that sounded like a lifter. Apparently this is common to a percentage of these engines and mileage is irrelevant. I suffered it while complaining to RAM and reading more reviews praising this stuff to the skies. I am in no way a huge fan of additives and generally just stick with a good grade of motor oil but the intermittent noise persisted so I tried it at around 1500 miles. Engine was warmed up so I dumped a bottle in and by the time I finished errands for the day the noise to date is gone, period. I have since changed the oil and added it again when I got home, still no noise. To me anyway this additive is a winner. P.S. I recommended it to a friend with a Durango with over 100,000 miles and according to him it silenced it as well.

Give your oil that synergistic splash it needs.
Unless your going to be running Motul 300V or Redline Oil, this additive is gonna help out where the other oils are lacking. The esters are gonna help with film strength, quiet noisy engine internals and also help with lowering consumption / increased mpg. I think this works well in PAO based oils best as Grp 4 are completely lacking in polarity; lower than even grp 3 synthetics. Too many people are caught up in Grp 4 oil as the only true synthetics but get quiet when Grp 5 oils shows up as they do everything better except the cost factor. Buying Biotech will give you that ester which outperforms all others. This additive has loads of molybdenum & some boron too. These esters should also help with leaks as esters will slightly swell rubber seals. The blueish tint will be easier to see after changing oil and checking the dipstick too. Company has been around a long time in the US and had a good practice, following. If you got noise from timing chains, lifters, etc this won't fix them, but it will quiet ๐คซ it down and lay down a boundary of protection to help out. ๐Fast forward....ordered more today from this seller and it's all 2022 stock! Impressive and thank you. Shipping was fast and not a drop leaked or spilled. 9.10.22 ๐ถ๐

It Leaked, but still great
So this is one of two additives that a well respected oil guy recommends. It can actually provide the additives that are lacking in modern oils that in many cases actually cures ticks and engines knocks, depending on the nature of those ticks. This product is loaded with EP additives, which when you have metal out of tolerances the engine provides the conditions needed for the EP additives to plate. It is science, not hype. Many engine run quieter, that is why. The best part is the moly is the latest moly that is oil soluble, so this becomes part of the oil and not just suspended in the oil like other moly, of course in those additives the moly can fall out of suspension and cause issues. So I knocked a star off because it leaked, like several ounces, but I'm still keeping it.
