Hallmark1595QX9265 Lockheed Martin Sky's The Limit #21 Keepsake Christmas Ornaments

All like, no dislike. I am an antique airplane fan who once owned a real 1940 J3 Piper Cub. I like the fact that these Hallmark models year after year represent historically important planes. These small models are well chosen and well produced. I have collected them for years.

Red and black color scheme. Unusually large propeller. Looks like a design error. The propeller would hit the ground in real life. Hallmark is loosing it eye for details.

Purchased for my husband at Christmas and he loves it!

Grandson loved the it so much to be able to add to the collection he had he was wanting to put the tree up in June. So Glad I was able to add to his collection

Every year since these collectibles have been offered, they have been added to my husband's collection and contribution to the tree decorations. They are well worth the purchase, detailed, and look wonderful. Now that he has passed, I am continuing the tradition in memory to him.

In terms of the seller, the item got here on time, no problems there. However, when I received the ornament the one word I can think of to describe it is...idiotic. I have been collecting Hallmark Keepsake ornaments since 1990. I've collected not only the "Sky's the Limit" ornament series, but the Star Trek, Star Wars and other series as well.And for many years, the one thing you could always say about these Hallmark ornaments was that they were well made, with much attention paid to detail. They were a pleasure to look at. But in the past few years something has changed, and for the worse. This ornament, the 2017 Travel Air Model R "Mystery Ship" is a bad joke compared to offerings in years past. This is just a cheap plastic toy. It lacks the details on the wings and fuselage that previous ornaments had, there are no "wire braces" on the wings as previous ornaments had (such as the GeeBee Model R from the early 2000s). And as another reviewer already pointed out, the propeller is way too big. It's as if they had some props from some other model laying around and they just slapped it on, never mind the fact it was not to scale, not even close.I have not bothered to purchase the Hallmark 2018 "Sky's the Limit" offering as by all accounts its just as bad from a quality standpoint. Hallmark has certainly not reduced their prices, but their quality has gone way down. At this point, if is unlikely I will be collecting any more of their ornaments given the poor quality they have produced in the past few years.

I bought this for my adult son for his 2018 ornament, because it looked so nice. He loved the detail and thought is was very well made.
