Software is Perfect, Exactly as Expected
I'd probably give this 4 stars, but bumped it to 5 to help offset the wildly misinformed 1 star review. I bought this used through the Warehouse & everything works as designed, probably the same camera the 1 star reviewer returned. Of course, I bothered to read the manual, so I knew how to setup & operate the camera. Software/firmware- perfect, I did update to the newest firmware, but the camera worked fine before that, too. Cloud storage- perfect. You can tweak many camera settings from the MyGVcloud service, additional settings are available directly through the camera's own web interface, I've done both. Running 24/7 watching a residential parking area with maximum motion sensitivity yields 250-350 recordings/day. With this usage, the free 5GB storage equates to about 3 days video retention. You can download any or all videos to archive elsewhere if needed. I have not tested Power over Ethernet (POE) yet, but the inclusion of a "wall-wart" power supply DOES NOT mean the device doesn't support POE! You simply have the choice of POE to supply both internet and power, or a regular network connection along with the separate power supply. If you choose POE, obviously you have to supply your own POE power injector or switch.I've had this camera in a test environment for almost a month to tweak settings & see how reliable it is, it hasn't given me any trouble. When I get a chance, I'll roll it out to a harsher production environment with POE, but that may take a while to setup the infrastructure along with other responsibilities. I'll try to update my review when that happens.

Software is not very good. Not really what I expected
Could never get it working tried several times. Software is not very good. Not really what I expected. Says it is power over ether net but has a power connector which makes it hard to run wires and supply power.
