It works
Does not clamp well on a 1 x 2 board. Have to double check center before drilling

Great tool..
Very sturdy. Kinda heavy, but very well built & designed. Would have preferred the alignment markers were a little more visible but otherwise great tool.

Not exactly center
Used it to join 1x12. Hole is not center. Long as you use it the same way on each board, it will be flat on top.

It… looks purty
This thing showed up wompyjawed and without quality instructions on how to dewompify it. Reading the posters instructions on the listing left us more confused and still off kilter. If you’re fine making holes that are close-ish to center then this is for you!Otherwise, naaah, keep looking.

HOW HAD IS IT TO MAKE A GREAT TOLL
How hard is it to make a great tool? in today's world the 3/8-drilling hole sleeve will only let the 3/8 drill bit go halfway the rest of the drilling holes are fine, but they say that the MULTIPLE SIZE DRILLING HOLES: The set provides six hardened steel threaded sleeves, two for each of 1/4'', 5/16'' and 3/8'', this is not true the sleeves are aluminum not hardened steel only the 7/16" and the 1/2" are hardened steal on the fixed guide holes on the fixture? that's what you get for buying something from CHINA

Wow, complete junk!
I was very surprised by this product; how can it be sold for money? Even it is free, I would not keep it. The center of the jig is not aligned with the center of the workpiece and to make things worse, the jig is not parallel, so the front and back are not aligned; the one side center is shift toward the right, the other side center toward the left.

Jig shifts when in use, alignment marks are not centered on dowel guides.
The jigs center guide shifts when you are drilling because there is only a single threaded rod supporting the alignment, and the two smooth guide rods have quite a loose fit. There is a lot of slop in the jig when it is affixed to your workpiece and when drilling the jig is free to move back and forth which ends up creating loose holes. Also when you tighten down the jig, the clamping plates do not sit flat and only make contact at the very tip of the workpiece (My boards were square and planed parallel so that was not the problem). Also the alignment marks on the side of the jig for centering the dowel guide holes on your marks are not in line with the actual guide holes. So you always miss your mark by about 1/32. You have to adjust for this which is super annoying.I ended up just making a guide block out of wood and a drill guide from lee valley, which was what I was trying to avoid doing.

Need a better Operating Instruction
For the first-time user, it will require more detailed instruction for the adjustment.

7/16" not 7/16".
The unit is great but either the holes are not exactly the size shown or every manufacturer's bits are wrong. The 7/16" hole is actually 27/64" so just enough off a 7/16" bit won't fit.
