Overall the product is good. All six markers work and the magnifying glass is small and portable, yet powerful.However, I'm having problems with the UV pen. Although it works, it doesn't work all the time. Something inside the pen is misplaced. I have to pull the bulb out a bit before it will turn on. The creates a problem since I work in a fast pace environment and need it to work all the time, and work quickly. I'm just sending it back.UPDATE:Today in the mail I recieved a package. First it baffled me, but upon opening I saw the seller had sent a replacement. I'm very happy the seller thinks of its customers. I didn't even contact customer service or anything. I'm upgrading my review to five stars despite the first time around.Thank you very much!2nd UPDATE:Seller sent a card apologizing for the mishap. I'm very grateful for the card and don't blame the seller at all. Things don't always go to plan, especially when you're a small company. But nonetheless the were very helpful, much more than a giant retail brand would've been. Once again, great customer service!

The NoteShield Counterfeit Bill Detection Kit has been very fun to play with. I have various denominations of bills and issue dates so I have been playing around with the pen, UV light and magnifying glass on those and getting intimate with knowing and feeling what the real bills are like.I purchased the kit because I run a small business where I take cash at craft bazaars. It seems like a good place for a counterfeit bill to show up and I wanted to protect myself.The kit comes with SIX pens which seemed generous to me. They work well and I have been showing and educating others on the ins/outs of US Currency.I really like the full color laminated guide that is included in the kit. It is very well laid out, professional and gives step by step of what to be looking for. Take time to read the fine print on each page, and also take the time to visit NoteShield's webpage for more information about what they mean by editions plus you can see micro text up close.The UV light will highlight the security stripe and for each note that stripe will be a different color, BUT depending on what edition of the bill you have the security strip will be in a different spot. Again, their website gives even more details regarding each note that are not included in the laminated guide.

They WONT EVEN GIVE ME W REFUND WHAT A JOKE !!!I bought these for my work (2 of them were missing from package) I work fast food so they would be used ALOTTT but they don't Mark at all on anything fake money real money paper nothing . Wasted my money for sure :(EDIT i thought maybe after some time they would start to work but i was way wrong they dont work period WASTE OF MONEY !!!!!!!!!!!!! And now I can't do a refund I'm so furious!!

I sell used instruments/audio equipment occasionally on Craigslist, so I purchased this kit to ensure that I don't get fleeced when receiving cash payments. Everything is included as advertised and looks to be of the highest quality. The instruction booklet is straightforward and a welcome addition, as I'm not an expert in the art of counterfeit detection. Next time I make a cash sale I'll undoubtedly feel more secure. Worth the money!

So far we are using just the pens and they've helped our business a lot!I love the black light for my personal use when collecting payments.

The pens mark well. Tried the pens on several bills. Thought the enclosed battery was dead I finally saw the shrink wrap around the battery. Got the plastic off and popped in pen, it worked. Bought sister a set, also. She had same trouble with battery. Have changed rating to five stars. I wonder if others have thought the battery was defective?? Our city and state have been hard hit by counterfeiters, but finally arrested. I check all bills now.

I work at a grocery store and have ordered many packs of bill markers for more money than what I spent on one of these, and it also comes with a pen light for checking security strips in bigger bills. I ordered enough for all my supervisors. The markers are great too, but I'm really excited about the pen lights!

Used the kit during HUGE garage sale and felt secure and safe accepting larger bills from many people attending sale. The pens and magnify worked perfectly without any issues. We will continue to use at next garage sale. I would recommend this kit to anyone that wants to feel safe and secure in receiving large bills from any stranger.
