This harness is a must have for our dog. Our fur baby using this is a Manchester Terrier, Lucy. She loves to run and is so smart. She can get out of any other harness we have tried. Now that we live on a busy street, it was time to replace her old one. The last one we had was the same brand she used it for 2 years. She runs around, pulls and uses these on a daily basis. I can assure you that it held strong until it got a tear. So as this is such a well made harness, we ordered this one.She weighs about 18 lbs so the medium size is the best fit. It is a bit snug the first couple of times then loosened up to a perfect fit after a couple of uses. She is quite comfortable in it. We got bright pink this time and I am happy we did It is nice and bright for when she is out at night as well. This is a very good product and deserves this 5 star rating time and time again.

A PERFECT fit and style for my 15# Shiba Inu!! Being a puppy mill rescue I didn't realize that the 'over-the-head' 1st harness I got her would freak her out. The step-in vest style harness is just what she needed (even though I soon found out that the sound of Velcro bothers her too).It's very secure having the heavy plastic clasp closure along with the Velcro tab. The heavy D-rings are perfect to attach her leash to!!It's also quite well made; and the only problem I MAY have is if she gains another pound or two - then it may be too small, and I'll have to get her the next size up. She was a few pounds underweight when I adopted her, so I don't mind getting her a larger size if needed. :-)And I love the extra night protection of the reflective trim on the harness!!

Bought this for my 11lb Chiweenie as she'd finally outgrown her previous harness. She previously wore this exact brand, but in a small, so I already knew the quality. This is perfect for her, especially as the velcro allows you to easily adjust the size. The martingale-style clasp means that it's not tight around her neck when she walks, but if she pulls or I need to control her I just have to pull the leash and it tightens.Daphne get compliments on it all the time. Her previous one (which is pictured) was bright green, and a State Trooper once stopped his car to tell me how nice it was! The reflective trim is very useful when walking at night, and it really is bright when car lights shine on it. It also washes well, I put it in with my towels and then hang it up to dry.

Bought this harness in neon pink size small for my new 13lb terrier mix. It is a nice harness, and I believe it is comfortable for the dog. It is slightly padded. The only complaint I would have is that although I measured my dog's chest, and the small should fit adequately, it is a little too small for her. The back has a velcro closure as well as a snap closure (where you also hook the leash), and the velcro part doesn't close all the way so it doesn't appear as secure. I would probably recommend ordering a size up if you are borderline on your measurements. Also, be sure to put it on the right way with the snap closure nearest the dog's neck (rather than their tail), otherwise it will not fit correctly.

I have a chihuahua who is about 5 pounds 8 ounces to 6 pounds. Girth measurement is 14 inches. I ordered an extra small. The girth part is too big. We can manage to make it fit him but the Velcro part is very overlapped. Cannot make it tight enough really. If it is too loose, he can escape.I like the design and when the girth part is tight, it feels safe. If the Velcro is were a bit longer, I would feel better about it.On the other hand, I've tried a few different brands (including for cats) and this fit the best. Maybe the size on the label stitched into the harness is wrong and it is actually a small? I don't know. I'm tempted to try an extra extra small.

This is my 2nd harness. The first was great and lasted quite awhile.Ordered this one..same size medium as before, and it is smaller. ( no, dog didnt gain weight)I like these harnesses a lot, taking it on & off is so easy and they are a breathable fabric...but this one seems at least an inch and a half smaller in circumference, which makes it now tight on my dog.Disappointing. Would have been 5 stars otherwise.

I bought this for my Yorkie puppy.I bought an extra small and she walked out of it. I know that the extra small is designed for smaller dogs, however, it needed a bit of modification in order for her to use it. My wife sewed a small fold on either side and it fits like a glove now.If you have a very small puppy, you will need to modify this harness to fit it properly. On a good note, it did not damage the harness to add the extra fold and we can remove the stitch when she gets bigger.Pros: The harness holds up well and also holds up to slight modifications.Cons: Still too big for a smaller puppy, but I can't hold the manufacturer responsible for a small puppy.I'd still recommend this harness. It's been several weeks already with a new crazy puppy and it's still holding up well.

I bought this as a replacement for a different style harness for my pup. She managed to chew through the old one, and I didn't want to shell out big bucks for another she may end up chewing up. I bought a medium for my mutt - she's 20 lbs. The velcro part of this harness fits very tight around her chest and the leg holes seem to be in an odd place. I wouldn't order the next size up as the black buckle part fits just fine, I fear the large would be too big, and the buckle does not adjust. She doesn't seem to mind too much, but I won't buy again if/when she decides this is a chew toy.
