GE GE5050 Silicone II Aluminum and Metal Sealant, 10.3 oz Tube, Metallic Gray

Needed gray, waterproof silicone. This was gray, waterproof silicone. Worked as expected.

It’s not really for indoor use. I like the metallic look. I used it as grouting for my stainless steel kitchen backsplash. It’s waterproof. I love the finish look. If you use this product make sure you read the instructions carefully.

First tube was defective - when dispensing by a caulk gun, the bottom of the tube just pushed up into the tube instead of dispensing caulk through the cut tip. This caused a massive mess as the caulk poured out of the bottom.Amazon sent a free replacement and I had the same issue (though I only pushed the caulk trigger a couple times so it didn't ruin the tube). I used a metal punch to puncture the caulk inside the cut open tip and this loosened the caulk which was then able to be dispensed properly.I used the caulk to seal the outside of a 60 year old camper. I went on smooth (wear disposable gloves bc this stuff is sticky!), and matched the metal trim perfectly. I'd definitely recommend using your gloves fingers for smoothing out the caulk bead and a disposable rag for wiping away excess on the project surface and your gloves. Great product!

I bought some of this YEARS ago. Very hard to find. Instead of grey color like paint for a home, this is used to seal up aluminum panels and makes the product look super great as well. Just like all silicones like this, it adheres superbly. So if you have a silvery looking part or panel, use this and you won't go wrong!

I would love to hug the person who came up with this product! Hubby and I are DIYers and decided to install a hammered tin (actually stainless steel) ceiling in our 1920 house. Never having tackled such a project there were some things that we wish we’d done differently. But this product put everything right. It’s definitely metallic, matches the ceiling perfectly and the finished result is gorgeous. Included are photos of before and after on one of the corners.

This is 100% silicone which is as good as it gets! It will seal anything including glass wood and plastic. I’m not sure how the top review is allowed to be inaccurate but it is.

Used to fill gaps in stainless sheet and the color match is PERFECT!

Dispenses easily, smooths well, cures to a tough membrane. Also, the open tube has stored well for a year now. Good sealing cap.
