Simple great buy for the price sharp picture
Ok so the only thing I don’t like is the instructions could have been better went online pulled up a generic back up camera install video gave me the perfect instructions I decided to go with installing using the back up light cable. I have a 2011 Toyota Corolla S. I did not have to drill a hole like some reviews said instead I used the space in between the license place lights. I’m a bit of a tech guy so I took apart a good part of the molding on my trunk to get the wires to move past the hole made for the license plate lights. I ran the wire for the video according to the instructions that was all that was needed. I spliced the wires on one of the rear lights using the positive and negative wires that connect to the reverse light. I used duct tape to insulate then covered the wires back in the enclosure that covered the wires from the factory already installed on the care. Then I did take apart all the molding around my radio air conditioning controls and just loosened the radio mounts to be sure I could fit the wires behind the radio and mounted the camera on the dashboard in the middle it looks perfect and all of the wires are hidden. The instructions have you to connect the positive wires and then hook out the ground wire to one of the negative leads I chose the cigarette lighter wire. I then put the car in reverse to be sure it worked. After I was sure it worked I hide the video wire beneath the molding on the door following the existing wires that were already hidden. It was pretty simple but I had experience with adding a new radio to a care with a boom box and things of that nature. If you are not technically inclined I would not attempt but for me it was really easy I did it in about an hour.

Like it very much and provides a backup camera in a vehicle that was not designed for one. Finding a place to mount the screen was a bit difficult but finally able to find a reasonable place in the vehicle. The camera fit very well on the back below the lcence plate

need install help..dont waste your time
so far 3 stars..ill change it if i get some help but your instructions included are worthless...i just read a questionanswered "there are two wires coming from the monitor"...etc...there are three coming off my monitor (dallux liscence plate cam w mini monitor)...i want this to work off my reverse lites..please send detailed instructions..there are two ways to wire this..always on or when reversen lites come on..why wouldnt instructions be super clear for both ways..it seems you could spend alot less on tech support if you made things clear from the get go..your ratings would also be way higher right from the start because people would not be aggravated looking for help..they would be happy to rate you high because it wasnt an annoyingaggravating experience much like the one i am having nowUPDATE....Camera has completely stopped working..do you k,ow what a pain in the ads it is to test and check all these connections to be sure what's wrong?..do yourself a favor and don't go with the budget option..wait until you can spend a little extra and get a good unit...

Was fairly easy to install
Was fairly easy to install, but directions were not all that easy to understand. Works well. Image is clear and color is good. Would be nice if it had an adudible "beep" at a bout 3 feet from obstruction.

The only thing is that it doesn't work when it's cold, especially when I first start my car in the morning. I've emailed the company and questioned why but they still haven't gotten back with me. Otherwise, it works well.

The product is as described. It works pretty well, but the instructions for installation needs to be better. I figured it out , it works pretty good and for the price it's worth it. I would recommend it.

Works but lousy color
This system has worked very well for the past 2 months, BUT the color is terrible, very purple, and very high contrast.

Hard to connect in a BWM based vehicle
I have a MINI Coupe which has a VERY SMALL rear window. I bought this to make it safer to back up. When installing the camera on the back of the vehicle, you need to drill a HUGE hole to pas the RCA Jacks for the cable through the trunk deck behind the license plate (other ones that I have installed needed much smaller holes). Also, since the MINI is made by BWM, it has a program in the body control computer that scans the light bulbs every few seconds and lets you know if one is burnt out) this scanning also causes interference on the monitor. To eliminate this, I have installed a relay, the back up light turns on the relay, the relay then supplies power from a different circuit to the camera and monitor. That the only way I could eliminate the static that made the monitor impossible to view.

It feels cheap, but it has changed my life too
Pros: Didn't have to drill any holes. Immensely increased the safety around my car. My car has a 4 foot high trunk, which creates a massive blind spot. The built in lines (Even though they don't curve with the angle of the wheels like stock ones do) really help with setting up frame of reference. It has made me a better driver. It also works really good in tandem with my built in object radar on the back bumper. I aligned the camera so the red part is where the sensor starts beeping.Cons: I find it really easy to accidentally adjust the angle of the camera. With my car, when I tried powering the display separately from the camera, after 2 seconds, the display would go wildly out of sync. I ended up running another cable down to the same reverse light cable that the camera was tapped into. Problem solved.Given a choice, I would have probably at least would have paid someone to install it, or even just purchased a car with it built in.

Making sure you know how to detach the panels of your trunk for easy installation.
Everything works so far. One of my greatest obstacle was installing the camera and the power line for the monitor. The wire was a bit short, so I added about 12inches of wire just to reach my battery since I have to connect it directly. The quality of the camera during the day is ok, not HD but clear enough. However during the night, I can barely see anything unless there’s light or if the break light will turn on. Then again, you get what you paid for.

don't waste your money
dinky little camera. Whole thing needs to be hard wired to rear light or cigarette lighter. That is the only source of power for the screen. Their pictures show 2 possible installation which is false. Needs to be hard wired period.

Not for the faint hearted.
As a man who has no knowledge of electrical wiring or related subjects, I found the diagram confusing. There is no colour , no precise instructions, and it is really small. However, it does point out you can phone if you have problems fitting the unit. Consider they are a Chinese supplier, it is not feasible. You get what you pay for.
