The design looks good, feels good in the hand, nice sharp blade, good D2 steel that will keep an edge.Right out of the (very nice) box, the knife was tough to open. The liner-lock was so tight that I couldn't push it to the side to close the blade. It was so tight that I tried a flathead screwdriver to push the liner-lock to the side. So, I returned it to Amazon for a replacement. The replacement arrived, and I was pretty psyched to get a good knife, that looked so well designed.Well, the replacement was even worse that the original. Opened even harder, and I almost could not close it at all.So, back this one went too... But, this time I sent it back to Off Grid, which I should have done in the first place.Their customer service was exceptional. Timely, friendly, really spot on. Very easy to deal with. So, I received a new knife, very quickly, with a little bonus. The new knife works very well, and I am very happy . I used the Badger to to take the bark off and finish the ends of some cedar branches to use to prop open old double hung windows. Not that, that was "strenuous" work for the knife, but it bit well into the wood, the grind allowing the knife to take a desired amount of wood off on each stroke, without a huge amount of effort It also did well taking down the hard "bumps" where branches protude. Also, I like this company, as they support the Vets, Military, and The Blue. I am proud to support them. I have received their emails for years, and was excited to finally purchase one of their products. It will not be the last, as I have ordered a Baby Rhino, and a Cayman. So, I can say with confidence, that you can purchase from this company, and be satisfied with your knife. They do their homework when designing their knives, and maintain standards in production. Best of all, they honor their warranty, and give great customer service.

Honest review
I collect name brand budget knives and after being impressed by the Baby Rhino by Off Grid knives I decided to buy this Badger which is one of the least expensive knives they offer. I am equally as impressed by it. It may be a bit bulky for some peoples EDC but I find perfect. Great action, very sharp and can take a beating. Plus a lifetime warranty from a company that claims their knives are made to take abuse. I'd rate it a solid 9/10. If you like a smaller knife try their Baby Rhino it's a 10/10. These are my first knives from Off Grid, but I liked them so much I spent a bit more than I ever do a have 2 other styles on the way. Lol. And I feel guilty, they may have made me a knife addict! Haha

Smooth Action
The knife overall is what I expected. Flipper is extremely smooth and fast. My only complaint is the scales feel a little cheesy. But I'll consider purchasing a few more of their knives in the future.

You get what you pay for
Unpackaging this knife out of the box off the bat made me realize I didn’t waste my money. This is a beautifully crafted knife that’s well balanced and weighted perfectly for a 3” edc. The rapid fire system this claims to be is just that. If it was any smaller this would be a great fidget gadget. In my collection of knives which include Benchmade, CIVIVI amongst a few I’m always looking to upgrade or add to my packages I have for home defense, personal protection, work and travel so this was to replace my work related tools. The jimping on the blade is in my opinion perfect for my meat cleaver type hands along with the dimpling in the handle. It has almost a porous but yet smooth G10 handle. Going back to the responsive opening of the blade, it’s smooth and fast. One handed operation from open and locked to unlocking and closing. What even better it’s home made here in the states. I love supporting family businesses. I’m looking forward to purchasing more of their products and without a doubt refer anyone to this family’s crafting of blades.

Sturdy medium size knife
This knife may be an every day carry if you wear jeans. Otherwise, some people may find it a bit wide and heavy. It is very sturdy. I like the blade geometry. The G10 handle is just big enough for me (Large or X-large hands depending on the glove). I like the Off Grid Rhino 2 better as far as its blade geometry and handle but it is definitely a large knife that is not EDC for me. I expect the Cryo-D2 blade to keep an edge and probably be sturdy enough for my uses of this knife. I like it. The only knife I know that compares in this price range for heavy duty applications is the Ontario Rat 2 in D2.

Size is just right for an EDC
Perfect!...Absolutely a Great Knife for any Enthusiast! This is my third Off Grid Knife and so far my favorite. I'm an avid collector and this brand is about as solid as I've seen. Great craftsmanship, quality materials, and they have an outstanding eye for detail. If you're on the fence about buying one of their knives go ahead and buy one, you won't be disappointed. The Badger is a perfect size for an every day carry. 3" blade and a grippy handle that's robust but not too big (or small) that fits well in the hand. I went with the "black out" version and I'm glad I did. Usually with black oxide I'm cautious about scratches and what-not but this knife has a stonewash finish that i'm comfortable with putting through its paces. The weight on this knife is good too. I hip carry my knives and wear shorts pretty much year-round and having this knife on me is hardly noticeable.Needless to say I'm stoked about this knife and am looking forward to my next OGK for sure!

Great knife at great value!
This was my first Off Grid knife and continues to be my favorite. This is a durable and hard working knife. It is big and feels good in my hand. Despite it's size, it feels great in your pocket unlike some other bigger and sturdier knives, including others from Off Grid. The action of the flip feels great and the black coating does seem to help protect the blade. Love this knife and will continue to buy Off Grid!
