AutoLine Pro Shop Series Plus Smoke Machine - EVAP Leak Tester +Air Pump

This smoke kit is fantastic after all the years of trying to find vacuum leaks. I used this the other day, and it rocks for locating EVAP leaks. This is one tool I was unsure about watching YouTube videos but after using it I found a leak I would have never found. I would give this a 10 star rating if I could. Being able to work remotely is worth every penny for vehicles that can't be driven due to no license plate tags or not running because it sat there because people did not have the money to pay a shop for repairs. I am still pumped up about this tool, after turning a wrench for over 30years I would say this is in the top 5 tools I have bought to repair vehicles. Puts out more than enough smoke, so easy to use, the size is very compact with the built-in compressor saved me a lot of time and I don't not have to bring anything else like a compressor or have electrical power to plug in a smoker. I was really surprised it really put out as much smoke as it did. It took a 5-hour job of crawling around on the ground under a vehicle trying to check all the lines from front to back, even places you can't really get eyes on without mirrors, flashlights and dirt in your face. This smoker turned it into a 15-minute job. So happy I can't wait for the next time I will be using it. My only mistake was not buying one of these years ago. This has a great design. I would definitely purchase the two adaptor kits that are: the yellow plug kit and the black 5-piece hose adaptors for the different sizes of hoses that are on a vehicle.

Had it since 2023 and it works everytime still on the bottles that came with the machine. Had the heating element go out on me in 2025 and they sent me a new element and a new bottle of fluid and instructions on how to replace it love this product and the company I would 100% buy from this company again if I needed another but doesn’t look like I’ll ever need a new one.

When I received the product the items inside were boxed very neatly and professionally. The item appeared very sturdy and well built and nothing was missing from the packaging. Based on 1-2 star reviews I wanted to check inside the canister and look at the coil and wick to make sure it was not broken. Everything was in tact and I followed the instruction manual. I did what the instructions said and proceeded to heat the canister up. Once 3-4 minutes passed I turned on the pump, almost instantly the smoke started to rush out. I made sure to purchase the additional adapters for the larger hoses and intake hoses. The canister pumped and pumped and pumped, no issues and when I removed the hose to make sure the smoke was still flowing I could clearly hear the pressure the pump was making inside of the engine and functioning as should. I was very surprised at how well this pumped worked for the 20-30 minutes I used it for to diagnose my car. The smoke does have a smell that lingers not sure if that just how they all are, but nothing major (I was outside). Over all I was impressed and happy with my purchase.

Found an evap leak I’ve been looking for in a matter of seconds. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Spend a couple extra bucks and get the built in air pump. System is all high quality parts.

It is very easy to use. It very good quality except for 1 thing. It works great, the small air pump replaces the need for an external compressor and no worries about exceeding the pressure. After it heats up it pumps smoke without any issues. I used it on my 2003 Camry that was reading -6% long term trim and Evap leak. found the problem instantly, and fixed it. Trim now is 0.0023%. I haven't seen the Evap code back yet. I only had 1 issue with it. The smoke supply hose is too thin for the use. The smoke comes out hot and right at the top of the hose where it goes into the canister the hose material rubber seems to soften up from the heat. It created a kink or a bend. It hasn't blocked smoke yet, I have to remember to raise the hose up while it's pumping smoke to prevent it from kinking. All it needs is a heavier or thicker hose. Other than that it is great.

Love this tool. It was easy to set up and use, and it helped me find my EVAP leak quickly. I ended up replacing about 18 inches of vacuum tubing and was able to pass smog afterward. This saved me countless hours of troubleshooting and potentially hundreds of dollars in mechanic costs. Very glad I bought it.

This is a great little package that works well. The built-in air pump sold me on the purchase because you only need 1psi to blow the smoke and this eliminates the need for a large pressure regulator to reduce the pressure from a shop air hose. I find the smell of the smoke irritating (heated mineral oil), but this type of smoke machine always uses the same type of fuel. The lever that tightens the latch wasn't very smooth on mine, but maybe it will get better over time. One suggestion I'd make is to add LED lights to indicate power and auxiliary mode. The previous model had a lighted switch, but this new model has a different multi-function switch that isn't lighted. I had to feel the container to see if it was warming up since there was no visible way to tell if it was powered and working. I'd recommend this unit for DIYers who don't want to spend a bundle on a commercial unit. The more expensive commercial units typically include a vacuum gauge to help diagnose leaks, but this unit does not include that feature.

This little guy pumps a lot of smoke and I like that it’s regulated to 1 psi max. Which makes doing evap systems safe to work on. It’s nice knowing that the supplied oil is OEM safe and won’t cause system issues (although I’d be cautious when using in systems with delicate sensors). I could have purchased a more expensive machine, but for the price, the outcome is the same, it makes and pumps smoke. Job done! I would highly recommend this.
