Perfect bamboo blinds with NO cord issues. LOVE.
Arrived via fed ex and packed securely on the date seller stated. Perfect bamboo blinds. ZERO issues with the cord(s) like every other bamboo blind Ive tried. I installed this in an area that's 8 ft× 8ft. Purchased largest size by this seller 72x72. I knew it would leave a foot on each side by each pole (see pic). Worked out great. Rolls up without issue. Cord is EXCELLENT- cant stress that enough- my main issue with bamboo blinds are ridiculous cheap tangled cords- this cord is excellent. Install didn't take more than 15 min. Drywall screws work much better than hooks.... I installed at top of inside of porch though, not seen on front. Shades the porch area in Texas sun/heat, but still allows a breeze to come thru, and you are able to still see in and out, but theres still privacy. Easier to see out than in. Prior to this shade it was full sun on my porch. No more... HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Looks much better in person....such beautiful bamboo.

Worth every penny!
So we had a reed blind on our large bay window. In doing holiday decorating this year, I put up lots of decorations and lights in the window, but the reed blind had to be taken down as it fit inside the window sill so it rubbed up against the decorations and I just took it down.I didn't like not having a blind on the window as it faces the street so my husband told me, just get another blind that's wider. I'm a serious penny pincher when I can be; I can sniff out a good deal on Amazon better than most. My superpower name is Amazon Prime. So I began looking at other reed blinds, as they're fairly inexpensive and they do the job. I saw this blind and fell in love. Sometimes you just want something NICE, regardless of the price. This was $40 over what I could have gotten away with the reed, but I just pulled the trigger and ordered it.It's beautiful. It's very well made and seems very durable. The color matches the photos perfectly. While it doesn't block ALL the light, it blocks enough and it is simply lovely. Will likely buy another two after the holidays for the side windows in my living room. Highly recommended.

Great for sun protection
Back story - last fall I lost a 200 + year old oak tree in front of my house due to rot. It shaded my entire house. With the tree gone my house now sits in full sun most of the day and it gets sweltering. I wanted shades that I could easily roll up and down that would protect the front of my house from direct sun ( I have a front porch that is the width of the house). These shades do exactly that. They block out the sun almost entirely, they are very easy to install and they are also very easy to roll up and down. I would much rather have my beautiful old oak tree back but these shades are doing a great job in keeping my house cool.

Beautiful, well-built, sturdy blind.
This is a review of the corded variety.Six weeks or so after installing this blind on my front porch, I have had none of the problems or complaints that some other reviewers have mentioned. Part of my success and satisfaction may be simply because I actually read the product's description, which includes the following: "Sufficiently blocks sunlight and cools the room, but does not act as a privacy screen".For many years, I have liked to have a blind on my front porch, so I can sit on the porch on a pleasant morning without being blinded and baked by the sun. This blind works at least as well as any other I've had — for the purpose for which it is designed, sold, and advertised — and it is better looking than the others I've had, most of which have been some kind of plastic or vinyl. Being made of wood, it is also much heavier than the plastic/vinyl type, but the pulleys and cords are suitably more sturdy, too.Highly recommended.

Everything but the cord pulls
This thing is a great buy for the money and I regret it not at all, but a few things to note:- If you are planning to put this outside, as I did (or maybe even if you're putting it inside), be aware the cord pulls will break in half and fall off within about two weeks. You will just stick a random bead from around the house on there instead, which is a perfectly fine fix.- The little pulleys tend to get tangled, so the ease of raising and lowering is not that of a fancier blind, but it's not too bad. Just takes an extra minute of finagling. This keeps the sun from blasting in my transom window every afternoon, and looks very aesthetically appealing, so thanks Seta!
