UmbraFlex Gel Lock Corner Shower Bin

This line of shower organizers work well, stick to the wall and nothing has fallen off yet. I have bought other items and liked them so I bough the shower bin. It sticks well to the shower wall, holds a good amount of weight. The first problems is, the bottom of the shelf is irregular with random raised ridges and several large holes so it is hard to get a bottle of shampoo to balance/stand up without leaning or falling over. The second problem is the rail on the front of the shelf. It is basically a soft rubber band that easily moves with the slightest touch so it doesn't support anything on the shelf and doesn't stop anything from falling over. Unfortunately, these two problems mean it is really hard to balance items on the shelf without them falling over and it severely limits how many items you can put on the shelf since you can't put anything over the holes or uneven ridges. I would return it but it is really stuck to the wall but it won't hold very much. I hope they fix the uneven shelf, get rid of the holes and put a solid rail on the front to hold items in!

I bought three to stack on my shower wall on a shower and they look SO good. Two stuck easily and stayed put. The third broke. I think the problem was that I pushed the pump of my body wash while the bottle was in the holder and one of the suction cups unattached. It never attached again properly and I broke the other screw trying to reattach. I still give it 4 stars since I reordered the broke one. Otherwise, holds better than any other single shelf suction device I have ever used. I would never have tried to pump out body wash in another brand.

Admittedly I hesitated to get this product because of the reviews (I rarely buy anything with less than 4 stars on here), but I think it's a case of product variety causing a misleading total score. I have the corner shelves, and they work perfectly.I have an old bathroom with zero built in storage and have failed to find a good option- tension rod shelves fall, over showerhead shelves slipped... These "floating" shelves seemed too good to be true, but at the price I figured I'd try it.I bought one to start, and put it up. Oncw I saw how easy it was and how well it worked I immediately bought a second. The shelf has gel "suction" pads to affix to the wall, but it's the opposing pressure forces of the lock knobs that really strengthen it and hold it in place. Before the second came, I had ALL my products on it with NO problems (full size shampoo, conditioner, face wash, body wash, body scrub, boyfriend's body wash, and a loofah).Also for those in a similar situation, I have resurfaced tile- and it's peeling in places already- so I was worried it would ruin the finish. No problems! I was able to easily lift and adjust the gel pads with no damage to the finish.If you are looking for simple corner shelves that do the trick, get these.

It’s a good idea but the suction doesn’t work well. It fell multiple times before I gave up and bought a different product.

The design and idea behind this is great! I gave 4 stars only because there ought to be a note that really tall or large bottles of shampoo or conditioner won’t work well - they keep falling over and then out. Perfect fir smaller/shorter bottles but my husband’s Head and Shoulders shampoo doesn’t stay in. Also, when they say use on SMOOTH surface only-believe them. No tile that is bumpy textured or glass doors with any texture, it just won’t stick.

So my roommate got a deal on these at a store long ago and gave one to me and they’re amazing! I decided to buy more for myself! They stick to the wall so well! And surprisingly hold a lot of heavy products! Make sure your shower walls are clean and I mean CLEAN, and dry before installing this on the wall, after a few months they might come down as steam and soap scum build up, it took ours 10 months before they started falling, so in that case take everything down give it a good washing and DRYING. Put them back up and I promise if you do it right, they are as good as new!! it’s been months again from reinstalling and none of them have come down! It’s a great product!

Purchased two of these on June 18th, 2019. One still works and the other failed just last week. The knobs that tighten the suction cups cracked and it doesn't secure well to the tile. For $15 it did its job. I wish I could purchase a replacement knob. It would still work if not for this small piece that cracked.It worked best when it was installed on dry tiles. Installing it after a shower causes it to fail.

'This was the response from Amazon when the product failed after 9 Months use. Fell off Shower wall and despite my best efforts would not reattach. Crazy that the expected life of a Product like this is less than a year as per this answer. Very Disappointing

This shelf is great. Provided the surface is smooth and clean when you install, allow time for the bond to build before loading and that you occasionally tighten the screws, this shelf will stay put under reasonable loads. I wouldn’t expect it to hold more than two salon-size shampoo/conditioner bottles and that might be pushing it - mine currently holds two standard shampoo bottles, face wash, loofah and razor without any problems.

Still staying up after many weeks. You HAVE to clean & dry the area before sticking. I can only think, those who say it does not stay up, that they have NOT cleaned the tiles fully first. I’ve got two of these products & they are fabulous. After many years of metal rusting & sticky things falling off, at last an item that works as stated. Really pleased, fast delivery as well.

I am amazed at how good these are, my wife bought it for the shower in our new house, I thought it was a temporary measure and would fall down on the first night with weak suction. Four weeks into the new house it is still up and to be honest it is now a permanent feature. It is so well thought out with clever design features such as draining holes, a place to hang things from and a place to store your razor. Highly recommend

I really loved this when I put it on the shower panelling but within a few weeks it fell off and I have had no success in putting it back on. This is NOT the fault of the product - the panelling is not totally smooth - it is my fault for thinking it would be OK. Have hopes of my husband attaching it with stainless steel screws - one day! I know now that a smooth surface is essential!
