Rakuen Titanium Long Handled Spoon with Polished Bowl Ultralight, for Camping, Wilderness, Outdoors, Tall Cooking Pots, and Dehydrated Meal Packs

First I'll say that these long handled spoons, polished or not, are the best for eating freeze dried backpacking food. If you don't repackage your food for freezer bag cooking then they are an absolute must. I believe most of these titanium long handled spoons are very similar, this one is distinguished by having some polished plating on the bowl that provides a smooth texture and better "feel" in the mouth and against the teeth. Some of the reviews claim that it will resist the infamously sticky cheese in Mountain House freeze dried lasagna, but I can only say that it did a slightly better job than my Sea to Summit non-polished version of this spoon (they need to patent the stuff as a glue). The plating does add a small amount of weight (20g vs 12g for the non-polished version), but overall I'd recommend it. 5 stars is reserved for a spoon that passes the lasagna cheese test.

This spoon deserves 5 stars. However, it is quite smaller than I expected. It is pictured to the exact and is extremelylight. Somewhat is the spoon that I was looking for and appears to be made of quality material. I call it my peanut butterspoon, you can surly get all the peanut better cleaned from the bottom of the jar. The only thing that I wasn't too excited about,it's a bit expensive for what you get.However, I knew the price before I bought it. It would be good to use for camping and outdoor use etc. Not a badproduct if you can take the price. There again, I guess if you want something you have to pay for it...

Lightweight like plastic, but stronger than steel. The polished bowl loses its shine rather soon, but has held up to much rigorous use. Handy length for both eating with and cooking with typical backpacking pots and pans.

Awesome spoon - used it as my primary "food-makin" spoon while on a hiking-backpacking trip. Easy clean, durable, non-stick, and it didn't really get hot even while stirring deep pots of boiling liquids. Exactly what I needed.

I have been using this spoon almost dailythe last few months while camping aroundSouthern CA. One of my favorite go to items. Would buy again if ever needed.

This is a spoon. There are many like it, but this one is pretty light weight and will keep your fingers out of your freezer bag meal. It is stronger than a Wendy's frosty spoon, delivering food to your mouth without snapping in half mid-stir. However, it is much more expensive. Perhaps the frosty spoon is good enough for you. Perhaps you'd rather not get food all over your hands and wake up as a bear popsicle. Perhaps....

This is as nice as my buddy's toaks spork.

I have not used this yet, but I expect it to be just what I expected.
