Birbigs is one of the best storytellers of this generation.
Birbigs never fails to make you laugh but I love that in his one man shows (My Girlfriend's Boyfriend & Sleepwalk With Me) he really makes you feel some feels a little too. Don't get me wrong, all the anecdotes are hilarious, but they're so much more than just your run-of-the-mill stand up jokes that this CD should really be considered "Spoken Word". Less like jokes, and more like hilarious stories told by one of the best.

Clean, soft-spoken, and yet he mesmerizes the audience. Takes the everyday stuff and makes it hilarious! I will definitely buy every CD he puts out!

After listening to Sleepwalk With Me Live! and watching Sleepwalk With Me, I thought that Mike Birbiglia had created his masterpiece. An hour long stand up special that tells many stories that are all encompassed into one, that is hilarious, relevant, brilliant, thought-provoking, heart warming, and honest. Then he made a movie that was Honest, heart warming, thought-provoking, brilliant, relevant, and hilarious. My Girlfriend's Boyfriend isn't simply another amazing special, it shows us that amazing is what Birbiglia does. Once again the hour long special tells one long story filled with smaller stories. He makes you laugh, he makes you think, he teaches you about life, love, and dealing with the fact that adult life is just plain weird. The only problem I have with Mike Birgbilia's work these days is that I can't believe he'll ever be able to make something as good or better again, and I am proven wrong. If you want to see something that is hilarious, relevant, brilliant, thought-provoking, heart warming, and honest. If you want to laugh and think and discuss and learn because of comedy, look no further than My Girlfriend's Boyfriend.
