Excellent product
I used the Schluter thinset for a title shower. I used all the Schluter products and was more than happy!The thinset is top notch. It is expensive but worth every penny. I ran out of it and decided to use a substitute non modified thinset mortar. The difference between the two products was night and day!Direct ship to my home was great!

Unmodified vs. modified thinset
Who knew finding unmodified thinset could be so difficult? Over the past few months I've experienced quite an education on thinset, its applications, and which type you should and shouldn't use. First off, unmodified thinset is appropriate when you need to adhere two impervious materials such as porcelain tile to Wedi or Kerdi board. Apparently unmodified thinset dries using a chemical reaction of Portland cement and water as compared to the evaporative drying of laytex modified thinset which requires air flow in order to fully set.Anyway, I needed 4 of the 50 pound bags to complete my 4' X 6' shower project with a bench and you can't find this just anywhere. Even the large tile stores in bigger nearby cities didn't carry it. Home Depot carries an off brand of unmodified thinset but finding the Schluter brand anywhere other than online was impossible.I highly recommend this product, we had no issues with it as everything cured quite nicely and seems to be very secure prior to grouting. Do yourself a favor and get the good stuff the first time.

Great for lighter shade of tiles
Worked really well with my lighter shaded tile. Highly recommended

Quality unmodified thin-set
Needed the company's brand to lay its floor heating mat. Only made sense to get this. My local Lowe's and Home Depot don't carry this brand anymore.

Good stuff
I’ve used this stuff several times. Great for floor tiles and wall mounted tiles.I would recommend you use a plug-in, corded drill to mix. My battery operated cordless drill struggled and really didn’t have enough torque
