G-ShockCasio GMW-B5000 Series G-Shock Wristwatch, Bluetooth-Equipped Solar Radio Control, Multi-Finished Black (Stainless Steel)

If you like a functional, sophisticated, yet low key watch, this is the one for you. I thought about the all black version of this watch (5000GD), but felt the overall finish is too bland, yet the black is too shiny at the same time. It's a bit hard to explain, but if you see enough pictures online, you will know what I mean. On the other hand, this watch has matted greyish finish and more reflective bezel. It's not dull at all. Depending on the lighting, the bezel can be as reflective/silver as it can to stand out from the rest of the watch surface, or it can be the exact same grey as the matte surface. I love the "variety" and seriousness in the color. It can be used as a daily watch or a dress watch.A couple of things which I've noticed as a person who never had a full metal Casio watch:1. The watch is much heavier than other Casio watches, but it doesn't bother me after wearing it a few minutes. Same with the coldness of the metal in winter morning. I forget about it after a minute or two.2. Lots of people complain about negative screens are hard to be read. It's not really the case for me. I can read it in most indoor lighting. When it's dark enough, the auto lighting feature is handy. However, it took me a while to understood how it really works.Overall, I like this watch a lot. It's not a smart watch, but it has all the functionality I want, and none of the annoying features that I don't want. It's a perfect fit for me. As most people who are considering this watch know, same functionality on this watch is also on many other cheaper resin Casio watches, but if you want low key and sophistication, don't hesitate to get this piece.

This is another in the series of metal G-shock squares based on the venerable GW5000 series. Finally Casio ditched those annoyingly shiny metal bezels that are extremely prone to scratching and replaced it with this elegant, matte finished one. Paired with the negative display it looks very stealthy and attractively unassuming. The LCD light is much better executed on metal squares than other models (such as 5000 and 5610 series) so there is less uneven light distribution across the screen. The color of the light is a cool variation of light gray (rather than cheap bright purple of cheaper models). Compared to cheaper resin models this metal square has better haptics, sharper design, better pushers, it’s somewhat heavier and feels much more solid. One big drawback is the metal bracelet, which adds unnecessary weight, complication, pulls wrist hairs, it’s noisy, and goes against G-shock philosophy. Premium resin strap would have been a much better option for this watch (like on e.g., GMWB5000G). And finally, they should have made the bezel out of Titanium rather than steel. But when we are speaking of Titanium, why not make it less exclusive and introduce it in lower priced Casios like these as well?

For enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike, the reasons for the appeal of this G-Shock family model are shared and readily apparent—style, form, and functionality are on point!But as far as this METAL specific version, the only deterrent is being able to justify the increased cost compared to the other non-metallic family models with the same essential positive attributes. This justification will likely be subjective and per degree of personal appreciation of the model.But for what it’s worth: it’s heavier, feels more substantial, looks REALLY good (especially the negative display). These were enough for me!

値上げ前にフルメタルシリーズが欲しいと思っていましたがシルバーやブラックはギラギラし過ぎててちょっとなぁと思っていたのでこちらを購入！写真で見るよりだいぶグレー寄りの色ですね！何よりベゼルトップのステンが無骨な感じも演出してくれて最高です！反転液晶は確かに視認しずらいですが、自分はファッション的な意味で購入したので特に気にしてません！結果的に買って正解でした。

色艶感、黒色の時計好きならお気に入り間違い無い!（個人の感想です）デジタル時計ですので、金額相応の高級感を求めると？って感じですが。ですけど、それが良い！ちなみに、毎日ビジネス使用してます。

質感が3つの仕上げになっていて、特にホーニング仕上げが肌にサラサラ感があってすごく良い

右上ボタン長押しでオートライトになります。視認性もよく老眼ですが裸眼でもよく見えます。
