Life changing and FUN for nervous doggos! We love Snuffle Snail!
My special needs shelter dog is very nervous. He’s not interested in Kongs, and treat balls scare him. Other than Lambchop, most new toys scare him. Our dog trainer recommend a “puzzle toy” or snuffle mat. This toy is awesome! It’s the first treat puzzle toy that he actually seems to like. It took him a day or so to figure out how it worked, but now he loves it! It really gives him something to focus on, and it definitely calms him down when he gets worked up. I didn’t expect my picky guy to take to it! He sees you take it out, and he gets excited. It’s by far his favorite toy. We are doing other things for his anxiety, but Snailey is a big help in our training. It has squeakers and the deep pockets hold a good amount of treats. One caveat... It’s not the toughest or most durable toy.... A dog who likes to destroy toys would probably tear it up in no time.

Very clever design, quality construction
This snail toy is great for keeping the dog occupied while trying to get to the treats or kibble that you hide in the pockets, which are then hidden inside the rolled up snail. I would give only 4.5 stars for chew proof-ness, because our 4 month-old mini Aussie Doodle/toy poodle mix has done quite a bit of damage to the pockets where you put the treats/kibble. But honestly I'm not sure anything is indestructible when she gets it in her teeth! The rest of the toy seems almost indestructible, including the squeaker and the velcro closure.

Great idea, but not durable
I love this idea to keep my dogs busy for a while. They absolutely love it when I bring them out. However, the compartments where you hide the treats are not any more durable than the material the snail is made out of. When your dogs are chewing and scratching trying to get to the treat, it doesn't take long to destroy the compartments. We've had ours for over a year and they are still useable, just a little ratty looking.

Easy to shed
11 week old Doodle shredded interior pockets on first use. Concerned that he would eat fabric. Will not give it to him again.

Little disappointed
I cannot hear any squeaky noise at all. This is not good for a puppy, maybe better for an older dog. I will keep it for when my pup is older. It does have several good pockets for hiding treats that keeps them secure until the dog can expose.

Not durable; potentially dangerous
I have a high energy dog so I am always looking for new puzzle toys and treat toys to challenge and entertain him. This looked like a great (and adorable) toy, but unfortunately it only lasted 30 seconds before I had to take it away. My dog immediately went for the treat pockets, as expected, and the pockets ripped right off. This is why I mention that it could potentially be dangerous. Even though I was supervising, I did not expect this to occur immediately and could not get it away fast enough. He ended up eating a piece of fabric from the pocket, thinking it was a treat. The fabric is NOT durable, as they were ripped off within 30 seconds. I would not consider my dog an aggressive chewer, and he did not use this toy any differently than you would expect. Very disappointed in the quality as this seemed like a cool toy idea.

Not for heavy chewers
Super cool product - just not for my lab retriever mix (45lb). She chewed out the Velcro that holders the entire thing together and then went for the stuffing inside. After actually looking at the description, I can see that it isn’t for big chewers like my dog so skip if your dog likes to gut their toys. (Also, just because she ripped out the stuffing doesn’t mean I can’t stuff it still and tie it up so still works for me)As a mental toy - maybe 4/5 cause it kept her busy for the two minutes it was intactAs a stuffed toy - 5/5 cause we use it as a tug of war toyAll in all, not for heavy chewers but a really good toy overall

Best treat toy ever for your puppy
The media could not be loaded. First off dog moms & dads this is washable so after puppy drags it all over the house & shakes it around trying to get treats it holds up amazingly. My puppy is being crate trained & this keeps her very entertained while in the crate & even when she is roaming the house. She has wandered outside with it & gotten it filthy but simple toss into the washer & like new again. This is a very durable dog toy, it is an amazing training tool as well & will absolutely keep your puppy occupied & entertained. Worth every penny.

My boy absolutely loves this! He’s been distracted for 30 minutes. Definitely get it if you’re thinking about it :)

Destroyed in Seconds
I think if you have a small dog it may be alright, but our Bull Arab destroyed this in a matter of seconds. Was fun while it lasted! Wish they offered an ultra-durable version because the concept s good!
