Overall this is a great product because of it quality and features
User may leave the safety caps on the ends or remove them to reveal 4 pre-drilled holes for mounting the surge protector to a rack, desk, or cabinet. Those holes are provided in addition to the 2 clips that permit semi-permanent mounting anywhere along the length of the 24-inch bar. Further mounting options are provided near the ends under the all-metal device. Two cross-shaped holes accommodate 2 capped screws (user supplied) deployed in a poke-and-slide manner mounting. This product costs more than the similar Stanley 31614 Pro6 bar but this Opentron OT2063 is made better than that Stanley 31614 and/or passes all the quality control checks, and so it is worth the higher price. It has an American Wire Gauge (AWG) 14 power cord. It connects with a classic straight 3-pin plug. That AWG specification is important to me as I always provide power to an electric device by using combinations of wires that maintain AWG 14 from the building circuit breaker to the device, or intentionally descend from AWG 14 to 16 to 18, if necessary and safe. The tamper proof screws on the sides of the steel housing will challenge the average user intent on taking it apart. The overall length of this power bar is 25 1/4-inches. That is an inch shorter than the Stanley 31614. The Opentron's 6 white power receptacles are easy to find in a poorly-lit environment. Overall this is a great product.

Seems to work great so far
I mounted this on my garage wall because we only have one outlet for that whole space. For the two months we've used this product it has worked fine. We used it to plug in timers for alternating heat lights and then night time heat lamps for our garden starter seeds during colder months. We will now be able to use the extra outlets for other uses as well. I'm a handy woman and I need more places to plug in my power tools. I would lengthen the cord six to eight inches.

Outlet strip is exactly as described. Heavy duty.
Many times I purchased items thinking “what the hell” I can count on Amazon Prime no cost return policy if it doesn’t work out. Here I am, again, surprised. I bought both the 4’ and 2’ heavy duty strips. They ARE heavy duty. Their mounting hardware is much better than I expected. Plugs are held firmly in place. Worth the price.

very sturdy. would have been better if there was an option between a straight and a wall flush plug
