DEWENWILS Remote Control Light Socket, Wireless Remote Control Lamp Bulb Socket with Switch for Pull Chain Light Fixtures, 100FT Range, No Wiring Needed, ETL Listed(Shorter Version)

I have a couple of really old light fixtures and the chain keeps breaking. I was going to replace the whole fixture (which was turning into a nightmare) when a friend suggested this product. I LOVE it! I was a little doubtful, but I screwed it in and it worked without any problem at all. The only thing someone (not me) might be concerned about is putting some sort of globe or other covering on the light - not sure how that would work.

I was skeptic about ordering something like this, but I was tired of resetting my Alexa bulb every time someone would accidently pull the chain on the light. This IS PERFECT! I set this up in about 5 minutes. It comes with the battery for the switch and does NOT need any type of phone or other device to set it up. I ended up getting another one and used it on my stairs to the upstairs loft/attic. It comes with screws to hang the switches, but I had some command strips already in the house, so I used those instead. I got the one bulb attachment with two light switches. This product did not disappoint!

Intermittently not working? Sharing this if it helps someone... When I changed the battery, the "off" position of the switch, only when it was held by the magnet, started intermittently, and mostly not working. I turned the lamp switch off + on again, and the # DEWENWILS switch started working consistently!

I had the issue I saw other people mention of the socket causing the bulbs to no longer fit in certain lamps because they add too much height. My partner solved this by just bending the frame the light bulb was colliding with, as this lamp would be okay with this solution. It was an easy install otherwise, for both the sockets and the wall mount. We had no issues syncing them together and they haven't had any delay or connection issues when being used. In terms of the design, I wish the [All] button was paired with the pictures showing you which side to press to turn it on and off instead of [1]. If you refer to the item pictures showing the remote, I wish the order went [All], [1], [2], [3]. I frequently go to turn all the lights on and hit the top option because it has the key for which side to press. Simple issue, but the change would make a big difference I think.

Used in an antique hanging industrial lamp with a pull chain switch in an outdoor covered “catio” that only has a plugin receptacle. With one switch placed inside the door and the other in the house, we can switch the light on/off as needed very conveniently. Clean and simple. Decent wireless range. Hardly visible in the lamp.

Used this on a ceiling light that has a switch in a very inconvenient location. Now I have switches exactly where I want them — $12, 10 minutes and zero electrician needed. Only caveat is the adapter that screws into the socket makes the bulb pretty long so if you’re using inside of a lampshade or light globe, it might make the bulb too long to fit. Otherwise it’s fantastic. I bought the socket + 2 wall switches. Hoping it lasts!

I have bought 3 of these items. One is in another state so I don't know if it works, but the two I bought for my home failed within two months. I bought the second one because I thought it was just a fluke. This product does not work for very long. DO NOT BUY IT!!!This is the only bad review I have ever written on Amazon and I have been a customer for many years.I gave it one star because I could not submit with zeros. This should be minus 5!

One of the reviews that I read mentioned difficulty with the OFF function of this product. At this point, the wireless bulb socket works well about 80 % of the time. However, the review was accurate -- even after replacing the battery and reprogramming the transmitter and receiver, there are still times when the socket will not turn off. Sometimes, the reviews really are right!!

My older home has no light switch in the laundry room. Instead the old pull string light. Of course, eventually, the string breaks. While figuring out how to get rid of that dumb string I found this! THE BEST INVENTION EVER!! Tried it first on my desk lamp. Works immediately. Installation super fast and easy. Another AMAZING thing is, I can hang the little remote outside of the laundry room and it still reaches the light and turns it on/off! Omg! I don't even have to point the remote at it! It's like having a light switch outside of my laundry room! Wish I would've found this a few months ago when that string broke! Will DEFINITELY BE RECOMMENDING THIS PRODUCT TO ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY! 10 MILLON STARS! I WILL NEVER AGAIN PULL ANOTHER STRING TO TURN ON A LIGHT! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

If I had a reason to repurchase these I would! They are such great bulbs and work so well. We have them in our basement which don't have wall switches (we have the pull light types) and to make it easier than pulling 3 lights we opted for these and they were so well!
