Found this from game ad and went to amazon for reviews and chose this design. The clamp is adjustable with a grooved padding within clamp. I have a thick lipped headboard and it kept adjusting until fit exactly and the I tightened it. The plastic nut that secured clamp is several inches long so I carefully kept tightening the clamp and it stayed . The arm IS strong but needs it for stability and position direction choices. I am 68 and healthy so I did not have strength issues. It seems would great item for those unable to use limbs. I attach my ear buds and small apple iPad/iPhone 7. I hold the clamp while adjusting the position and direction of arm and it holds without sinking. I move and stretch it out slowly . I think it would fit other places easily because of adjustable clamp- a must have for adaptability and versatility if moving it to different spots. I haven’t tried larger iPads. But arm is strong. Evidently not all designs have this feature! I put an iPad on mine for movies or reading or podcasts. Haven’t moved it yet but thinking I could use in kitchen or office to stream and keep off counter from spills and create safe place for iPhone or iPad for sight and /or sound and work. The holder rotated vertically and horizontally. The holder is tight to hold them both without fear of slipping. So I’m enjoying this design and glad I bought it and would give as a gift or recommend based on my use experience so far!

Anyone that doesn’t give this 5 stars either had unreasonable expectations or just likes to complain!I was afraid to get this because it was so much cheaper than similar products, but I’m very glad I took a chance on it.This is used to hold a Nintendo Switch and a Fire HD 8Tablet so my 7 year old son and I can lay in bed and watch movies or play video games. You could also use it on much larger tablets with just a pinch of brain power to understand that it can easily be held width wise (and then rotated) instead of length wise. We will also use it to hold a fan at Mets spring training games in Florida by clamping it to the armrest. I also use this to clamp to my desk to hold a tablet to watch my Mets, St. John’s basketball, or NFL games while working.The end of the gooseneck has a ball which allows the device being held to be rotated around 360 degrees and tilted in multiple directions. That was a very pleasant surprise!This clamps down effortlessly by simply turning the handle. I have it clamped to my bed’s headboard which is about 2 inches thick. It works just as well clamped to the side rail of my bed as well. The gooseneck itself is very rigid and hard to adjust (a very good thing), but can be set to a # of positions without too much effort.The only issue is that the gooseneck (but not the base) does tend to shake a lot when I am using the touchscreen of the device it’s holding. I doubt any similar holder would fair much better, as it seems like basic physics are to blame. If you need to use your touchscreen often, you likely won’t enjoy this or anything similar to it.I will be purchasing at least one more.

The device itself is a sturdy and high quality material. It is all wrapped up nicely in a bubble wrap and put in another high quality thick plastic that is sealable for future storing/protective or use. It has some little instructions as well on how to operate this. However, the neck is hard to maneuver it is stiff and not really as flexible as I expect it to be. Also, I wish it is in a longer length. That's why I gave it a 4 star, otherwise I reccomend this for anyone who want to make their lives easier watching a movie, video chatting and recording.This is also a clip on as you can see, I have to clip it on my headboard of my bed.I'll buy a longer length in the future if necessary.

This mount arrived in various parts that were easy to figure out and screw together. I like how the base is versatile enough that it could potentially be connected to many different surfaces. Setup took less than a couple of minutes. The stand is sturdy and well in place but I found that days later, the base can start slipping a bit and need adjustment. I wouldn't recommend placing a tablet in this thing and leaving it unattended for days. This wouldn't be a problem if it were effortless to place and remove a tablet but unfortunately, the clamp is so tight I'm afraid of hurting myself when trying to stretch it wide enough to place my tablet. I understand that this ensures a tight grip but it is quite fiddly. A phone may be a bit easier to work with. Adjustment of the goose neck is very stiff, I was able to handle moving it but some physical force is required. Overall it's not a bad stand but not very impressive.

Great product - works as expected! Very stiff to move so it's great for keeping your phone/ipad exactly where you want it.

Great product. Very firm and stable. The swivel allows easy movement when your lying down!

The clamp itself feels quite secure, but a bit flimsy, I'm interested how long it will hold up. The goose neck is very stiff and somewhat difficult to position, but once it's set it won't move.

MUSCLES NEEDED!! You better have strong muscles for this. It was so stiff and very hard to position into the position I wanted it to be. I'm actually afraid that I will break it. I'm no weak person but I honestly feel like, with the force I have to use to expand and position it where I want, I will definitely end up snapping it in half. It holds my phone and tablet pretty well though.

Nothing fancy but it works as well. Glad I bought it.
