Retro 51 Tornado Big Shot Rollerball Pen, Black Titanium

Smooth writing.

The balance of the pen is surprisingly weighted in the cap, feels strange but is comfortable when writing. The titanium is nicely finished and lightweight with an interesting atomic symbol logo that is inconsequential, interesting, yet not very professional. Note that while the body is titanium, the cap and nose are some kind of pot-metal meant to look like antique silver. Once the clear coat wears off, I'm expecting corrosion and metallic smells when touching. I hate when deluxe pens try and sneak by with cheapo materials. Non-reactive metals like surgical stainless or more titanium is too pricey for them.I was using during a client meeting and the ink is nice black and flows great. But it was skipping. Speed, angle, and pressure had no predictable effect on the skipping. Gah.Overall it's a good pen.

I love these pens. All of them. The standard barrel width and the fattie. This is one of the three fat barrel editions they make, and I have two- the plains titanium and the dark titanium. I find the fatter grip is easier on the hand. However, I also find it's just good for the pocket. The thicker barrel sits better in the tool/change pocket of most casual pants.Note: I like the Lanier refills best.

Great pen. Substantial. Only issue for is the unexpected “recreational titanium” image/logo. Didn’t notice that in promo photos.

Retro 51 pens cannot be beat- they are phenomenal, I made the mistake of trying another brand recently, regretted it and will never do that again. Retro is the best!

Nice pen!

I have about 5 of these tornados in both pens and pencils. Just bought my dad one for Christmas. Love the quality of materials used. Love the themed ones. Wish could get car and motorcycle themed ones.

Great product. Writes well. Easy to hold.
