We don't have a pool but we did want something for atmosphere on our back deck and these are perfect. They provide just the right amount of light, do the neat LED color-change thing, and the batteries last a good long time if you just use them intermittently. The remote control functions as it should, and they truly do seem to be waterproof so far. They come with four prong charging cables so you can charge four at a time, a great time-saving feature. All in all a neat little set of lights. Maybe now we'll have to put in a pool...

I got these primarily to help make bathtime with my toddlers more fun. They love the cool glowing balls, especially the color change part. I love that they have a rechargeable battery, because changing batteries is such a waste of time and money.The balls are also lightweight and durable and the coating on it gives a nice diffused light.I took these to my in-laws' pool and you could see the colors when it was bright out, but they can't compete with the sun, lol. I would recommend for pool use with a shaded pool or an evening swim or a late night hot tub would probably kick butt.

These lights are very nice and bright. Many colors to choose from. Easy to charge and fun to setup around a room if you aren't using them in a pool. Some things to look out for is that each ball has to be turned off individually if you don't plan on using them, turning them off with the remote will only hibernate the ball and they will still draw small power overtime. Also using the remote to change all the ball colors at once can be tricky if they are in different line of sight. This can cause some balls to fall out of sync. Best way to use these is manually set the color and place where you want them.

These light balls are not only cool but they're versatile and very well-made. They are highly waterproof and we've had no problems with them out in the rain. A charge lasts hours.Even though we don't have a pool we've discovered so many uses for them in our home: on top of bookcases and cabinets and behind plants for lighting effects that we never imagined. We put them outside on our balcony for terrific mood lighting. Parties are so much more fun with these around. Great idea and unlimited uses. Have fun!

Bought the item on Oct 5 to be used in bubble bath. All 8 balls does make the water look cool. However after using it a few times within 2 months, two of the lights went out of a sudden, would not charged and stopped working. Within the next three months, another four lights gace up - same situation - it would not charge (the red lights will stay on) and it will not turn on. It is very frustrating that I paid $40 for this product where it broke down within a few months, and I only use it in the tub two or three times a month. . I guess it was nice while some of the lights work - but right now I am left with two lights which will most probably blow out anyway - and its not enough to use it in the bath. Very disappointing. Lesson learned.Updates:I reached out to the customer service on the website and they were prompt to address my issues with offering replacement. I increased the rating for the wonderful customer service however I do think that they need to work on the quality of their product. It is really a nice product.

Received all 8 unbroken. No problem charging them. When I went to turn them on, only 6 of the 8 worked. Put the remaining 6 in the pool and they looked great (nice and bright, remote worked fine, and they were water proof). After 30-40 minutes 4 stopped working. After 2 hours the remaining 2 stopped working. Sent them back for a refund.

These lights are very fun and an easy way to make a pool or patio or any outdoor (or indoor) space festive. The lights have a long internal battery charge and the remote make they very convenient to use and change colors on the fly. Lots of good uses for outdoor fun. I think they will be fun in the snow as well but have not had a chance to try them yet. Hours of fun for kids. They do what they say they will do and they do a great job at it. Highly recommended.

The remote controls all of the balls at the same time. Charging is easy, the color looks very nice in the dark and the charge lasts for a long time. Note that they are not a perfect sphere. There is one flat side but this allows them to be set somewhere and not roll all over. To have the balls set to different colors at the same time, the balls must be manually pressed to different colors because with the remote they will all go to the same color.

The lights work well, however the battery life is terrible.The specs say they will last 20-25 hours lighted up, but I only used them for less than a hour total lighted up over 3 days (and left them on standby most of the time), and the battery drained out totally by the 3rd day.Would not recommend.
