Solid and Cheap
Very good snap caps milled out of solid brass. Hefty and well made.I bought these for my 8 shot revolver and they were much cheaper and higher quality than those hollow red 6-pack snap caps.Would definitely buy for other calibers as well.

I've tried many different types of snap-caps but these are some of the best. Well made and much better than the all the plastic varieties.

Wont work to tall, no crimp.
Not machines to spec for 38 special. Turned solid without crimp at top for the bullet so they will NOT fit in several of my revolvers. May work in brand new guns but anything older like my model 10 cant be used. Will be returning. Snap caps need to be machined slightly smaller on the end to mimic the crimp in order to function in all revolvers. I'm really sad because these feel great in hand. One of 9 fit flush in cylinder. I then polished and thoroughly cleaned the bore to make sure it was not caused from dirty chambers. After cleaning still no luck.

No extractor groove, will not work with MOONCLIPS
These are great, heavy weight dummy rounds that drop into the cylinder with a better heft than the aluminum snap caps. They work great off a stripper clip or a speed loader. BUT they do not include the extractor groove so they do not exactly mimic the shape of a 38 special case. This should not make a difference in most situations, but they will not fit if you are using moon clips or a semi-auto.

Finally, unpainted all-brass one-piece construction that makes for the best dry-fire training available.
KP Tactical makes the best snap caps for use in revolvers and lever-action rifles and carbines in .38 Special/.357 Magnum. These are one-piece lathe turned aluminum or brass that have a rubber insert to protect the firing pin during dry-fire training. The demensions are proper CFC to fit the chamber and there is no paint to flake off during use or crimped faux bullet (as some 2-piece snap caps use) to work its way loose during use. The brass version lets you train with snap-caps that are close to the weight of real cartridges--this is nice for maintaining realistic ergonomics during dry-fire training. These are very much worth the investment!

These are the Best there are!
These are the Best there are! They have the right weight, and the right feel for practicing loading and unloading safely, and KP Tactical give you enough of them to really work with! These are a fantastic deal! The "only" thing you should look out for, is that they look too real (like PMC Bronze), so be super careful you don't get them mixed up! These could easily be mistaken for the real thing in a high stress situation, and that could be very unfortunate... Otherwise, these are GREAT!

these snap caps are awesome, ordered four calibers, each cap is flawlessly machined, silicone primers are excellent.

Great to practise and dry fire
Great for realistic practice but maybe a little too real. These make me paranoid about accidently loading a live round since they have about the same weight and look, nothing a little colored spray can fix but probably should have an orange or colored tip.
