Whole House Filter Replacement Cartridge

These are high quality carbon block filters. I have tried the bix-box versions and they worked fine, but this one has much better flow and lower pressure drop with great smell/taste reduction. I can't comment on the filtering capability because I use a 1 micron in series for color reduction and the two in series showed less than 5 psi drop when new. The past carbon block dropped much more. For the price point and performance you really can't beat these. I have these installed in both the Dupont brand and Omnifilter models without any fit issues. Great packing coming from San diego to Chicago. No damage at all.

Best filter I have ever used. I have bought numerous different brands and styles. They stopped selling this filter locally so I am now buying them on Amazon. They last our 3 person household around 4 months. Keeps the copper taste out of my water and my water using equipment cleaner. If you use as a whole house filter looking to get hard water a little more bearable this is your ticket. Comes out gross and almost bright orange because it does its job keeping the crap out.

These are extremely well made filters that have performed flawlessly for me! I am on a drilled well, and I started using these filters because of their porosity rating. I was getting fine silt pushing through the foam filters that I had been using that has stopped since using the KX filters. They fit perfectly in my Westinghouse filter, and are a solid sealing unit. Lastly, they have not reduced my overall flow rate even though they are a finer filter due to the greater surface area of the filter media. Excellent American made product!!

I got this to replace a whirlpool filter. It fits perfectly and filters better that whirlpool's original filter. This filter also last longer the whirlpool filter. We noticed a difference right away.

Use this as a sedimentary filter for the whole house. Carbon is a bonus for all the fish tanks we have.
