This was a great ending but man was it dark! I was not expecting anything that happened there, which I imagine is the point.A fast paced and easy to read book. I struggled to put it down. Would recommend the whole series

Again easy flow, characters very real and relatable. Very sad ending, but a fitting end to this tale. I wonder what will happen next.Oh, and a very pleasant cameo appearance. Loved it.Thank you

Wow, what an ending to this series! In some ways this mirrors the mageborn books which is to be expected and I very much liked it. The return of a certain character caught me completely off guard I will admit but I was happy to see said character. This was a very well written book and I will admit I almost shed some tears, (that’s the second time the author had done that to me) I definitely didn’t see that ending coming and I’m looking forward to the next series set with Will.Happy endings? What are those?

A brilliant ending to a superb series of books. A Choice of Magic was the first book of Manning’s I read (I’ve subsequently read all of the rest) and this was the perfect conclusion to the series. Michael deserves to be considered as amongst the greats of fantasy fiction along with the likes of Gemmell, Eddings and McHugh. Would thoroughly recommend - but read the previous books in the series first for full enjoyment!

Emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. A fantastic end to a series. This series holds one of the first ever books that I have gone front to back, and then immediately restarted so I could witness the story a second time.It is a beautiful masterpiece that will always hold a special place in my heart.
