The "dome" doesn't stay up well like it looks in the picture. Overall, I wouldn't have bought this. I don't think it will be used much when my Pomeranian can't get inside easily.

Worked exactly s we hoped it would!!
This thing is awesome! Our newly adopted terrier likes to burrow. Loves to get under covers our bury his head under our knees. During the cold winter months, my wife would wrap him in his dog bed with fleece blankets. I was always concerned he'd suffocate if left under and of course once he climbs out, he's left uncovered until one of us wakes and happens to notice and recovers him. The BedHug has solved all that. He can climb in head first and curl right up and I don't have to worry about him loosing air because the entrance is always open a little. Sometimes we find him out and on top of the "blanket" and then later back under. So it's easy for him to get in himself. And if this isn't the ultimate sign of comfort!! A couple times I have woken and found just his hind quarters sticking out with his legs straight up in the air!! If that's not cute, I don't know what is. That would have been the ultimate picture to include, but there was no way I could have taken it in the dark without waking him.We felt it a little pricey to take a chance on but now that we know it is everything we hoped it would be, it was well worth the price. A word about the seller... Very helpful. We bought the medium based on his bed size, but it was WAY too big. The seller explained there was no way to measure for ALL bed sizes, so the measurements are just a ballpark. For reference, our dog's bed met the diameter measurements for a medium, but it's real thin, so the small ended up fitting better. The seller was very easy to work with and was willing to take the return and ship the smaller size. Hindsight is 20/20. If I were really thinking, I would have kept the medium and bought a little bigger bed. That way our 16 pound terrier could REALLY bury himself deep inside!

Didn’t work for my pup
Very well made. However, my dog didn’t like it. I was better off with the dog bed with the cover already attached... my dog likes it better and it’s cheaper.

Very Well Made and Versatile
The media could not be loaded. I really love this! It's allowed me to add a blanket like hood to any of my other beds that don't have one.I bought it because I have 3 Bombays and one of them is elderly. It's cold up here in Maine in the winter, and I wanted to make sure she was warm. But I have several beds that don't have a top. And the one's that do have a top are too small for all 3 cats to cuddle together, which they're fond of doing. It's tough to find a larger hooded pet bed. And when you do, they're often very expensive! It took 1 cat about 5 minutes to figure it out. The second took about 15 minutes. By that night, all 3 were snuggled up inside. The boning that holds the front up is much sturdier than that on most of the other hooded beds I have. Some of them won't even stay open! The boning on the BedHug fills the entire front fleece cuff. I'd say it's about 4.5 inches wide.I haven't washed it yet, but it looks like it'll hold up pretty well. The seams appear sturdy. The large fits both of my bigger beds pretty well, one is 32x26x8 and the other is 33x27x9. The velcro straps that go underneath the bed are nice and wide, so they hold it in firmly in place, despite the 2 younger boys wrestling inside it!And in the summer when it's hot, I can remove it if I want. It's well made, and I love the versatility that it offers. I'm glad I bought it.:D

Not what I expected.
Very frustrating to try and get it wrapped around the bed properly and when I do my cat tried to go underneath it and the top part kept flopping back and scaring her so now she doesn’t want anything to do with it!! Wasn’t what I thought for $40 I didn’t realize it was just a wrap.

Great for dogs that like the security of blankets without the hassle of such
My dog loves to bury under blankets. This leads to her either taking up the entire bed (yes at 10lbs she is capable of doing so) or her blanket not remaining in her bed and left as a slipping hazard on the laminate. I thought about buying one of the beds with the cover sewn into it. After thinking about it I decided to purchase this one. See, this allows me to clean the bed part if she tracked dirt in it, while the clean cover goes over another bed ($5 at Walmart/Five Below) we have. OR, if the cover is dirty, it is small enough to be thrown in with a bunch of other things. Also it’s nice to be able to take it off, versus the $35 built in beds, as sometimes it’s hot or guest are over and my dog doesn’t want to be covered up.

Three Stars
Feels comfy but dog knocked it off the bed in less than a minute. Needs to be more secure.

Don’t really like the band at the edge. Nice quality though.
