The Best 1911 Barrel Bushing Wrench Ever
This wrench came today after I've tried three other wrenches. A clear plastic wrench was too short to provide adequate grip. One aluminum model was very thin and would not seat over the bushing on my Springfield 1911 Loaded (I've read others having this problem). Third was thicker aluminum with finger grips. It felt secure in hand but also did not fit my 1911's bushing. I had gotten used to removing and replacing the bushing and spring with the help of the magazine but not without the occasional flying spring plug. This wrench, however, is the perfect tool. It fit over the bushing easily and worked like a charm. The unique feature of this wrench is that it applied horizontally and has a channel that guides the wrench as it is turned. This design is most useful during reassembly because it holds the plug securely in place while the bushing is rotated back into position. In addition the polymer material is comfortable, rigid and non-scratching. Brilliant!

New Design, Same Good Functionality
Received a new 1911 with a full length guide rod, and needed a tool for disassembly and cleaning, until Wilson Combat gets a new GI cap and guide rod to me. This works great, whereas the other one I tried (Real Avid) was a Real Disappointment, unfortunately. The design's different than the pictures on the site here, but it's good regardless. For the money, I've spent more on less useful tools.

Won’t mark/scratch
Take care of your 1911, don’t scratch it up.

Literally Worthless
It's plastic. Your 1911's bushing is metal. You tell me, is it going to do anything other than rip itself apart while your bushing refuses to budge? Because that's all this does.
