Biopost's 3 gallon food scrap bags are the ideal item for storing all your food waste and are a far more sustainable option than old fashioned flimsy plastics we've been using too long - the ones that (though they always seem to split and fall apart!) don't break down and degrade over time. If you're keen to do your part for the sustainability of our planet and you're ecologically sound, these biobags should work great as a means to store and empty your yard waste while also being strong enough that they don't leak. They're perfect for a standard green waste bin and easy to fit perfectly in, and remove, without any time consuming mess and stress. It should be easy to keep your counter top clean now!

No other bag is better, but still a little room for improvement
My family and I moved to a new neighborhood where we finally have municipal compost collection. So we decided to search for a solution that would make collecting and removing our compostable items from the house as easy and clean as possible. After researching all kinds of options with all kinds of reviews, we decided compostable bags for kitchen scraps and for bathroom waste were the best solution. Other bag reviews made us worried that the bigger the bag the more chance for it to fall apart after a longer period of time, so we decided to get a smaller option. These were the only bags around that were not only reasonably priced and municipal composting approved, but they were also the only ones that (all the reviews suggested) seemed the least likely to fall apart.I have to say I am extremely pleased with our decision. They do in fact hold up very well, they don't leak, and they come at a great price for your money even compared to regular trash bags. My only qualm is that 3 gal still seems a little small for both our bins. I was hoping they'd be about as big as a grocery store plastic bag (that's what we were using before, which we wanted to stop doing). Unfortunately, the only other options out there that are bigger are either 13 gal which is too big or don't have reliable reviews for holding up to any wet garbage. We will continue to purchase these bags, but we really hope the makers will consider making them 4 gallons at least so the fit is a little better and it is easier to close up when we take it out.Bottom line: you should buy these bags.

Half of the bags tear along a seam before you can even use them.

Not Labeled BPI on bags
Read comments from seller that these now say BPI on the outside of bags as of June 2017. It is August of 2017 and I just received 100 bags that I cannot use because they don't say BPI on them. My city requires it be BPI certified and labeled as such. Now I'm stuck with 100 useless bags.

so good. Bags are much studier than the flimsy green ...
So far, so good. Bags are much studier than the flimsy green ones I was buying in the past. No leaks or tearing. If they break down in our compost tumbler is another issue but that takes time. We'll see.

Best compostable 3 gallon bags
By far the best compostable bags that I have tried. They don’t rip or start decomposing on you. Highly recommend them.
