Princeton Review AP Calculus BC Prep, 2023: 5 Practice Tests + Complete Content Review + Strategies & Techniques (College Test Preparation)

After failing tests left and right through my BC calc class, I had no confidence in scoring well on the exam, so I bought this book to help me study. After taking the AP exam this past Monday, I am sure I scored at least a 4, and a good chance at a 5. This is definitely a study tool that anyone taking the exam should use. I will update my review with my exam score when they are released.Update: I received a 4 with a 5 AB subscore.

Amazing for AP prep

The book was overall very good. I am about 4 chapters into this book while I self study for my Calculus BC exam. The book paired with useful Youtube videos from Khan Academy & 3blue1Brown has been flowing smoothly so far.The reason I rate the product a 3 is because some of the content in certain chapters and sub-sections seem very out of place. For example Chapter 2 on the basics of derivatives uses the concepts of the chain rule quite frequently in it's examples of other Calculus rules, yet the chain rule itself is not taught until Chapter 3 on Differentiation. In addition, there were questions in Chapter 1 on finding the limits of trigonometric functions that were not introduced at all until ~5 pages after these questions on "How to find the limits of sinx, cosx, etc). However, if you can put together the pieces and some of the fragmented info in the book (which is very few) then this book is awesome.

Good book overall.

While typically the explanations are clear or at the very least plainly exemplified with practice problems, the order they choose to teach operations is sometimes so clearly edited and swapped around that they refer to formulas and procedures they haven’t taught yet if you’re going linearly through the book. Most frustrating, the book is fraught with simple algebraic mistakes in every chapter as if not proofread before publishing. Would not recommend, there are better resources available.

The book just arrived today. The back cover is ripped. Not happy about it since I ordered a new book.

Excellent compilation of calculus problems with detailed solutions. Great for review of calculus

I wasn't able to use the book fully because I was procrastinating, but even to the extent that I did, it was very good for reviewing material and getting practice for the exam. I probably spent 3 hours on it and am confident I got a 5.
