I decided on an impulse to give this a try considering it's pretty reasonably priced and had prime shipping. I've tried the iBobber but I have to say this one is more helpful so far. I'm glad I decided to get it. I recommend you give this a try if you're into fishing and have trouble finding good spots to fish from. A nice surprise too, It also comes with a water proof pouch for your phone. High quality and great seller.

I was a little skeptical at first about buying this since it was so new and only had a few reviews, there is another similar one this but it was made in Russia and this device here had everything the other one had including the different size fish icons, the fish alarm, and depth alarm. This is very simple to set up. I fish out of my kayak and carry two poles, 1 with this tied to it and one with my bait. Love the color options. For the money this is a really good fish finder. I already have 9 hours in the water with it and the battery is only half dead. I would recommend this over the less expensive models that are not as feature packed as this.

Really love the detail in the device provides - It was easy to set up, use, and read. It seems I received a defective sonar ball, though. Was hugely disappointed to find it died while fishing within four minutes of throwing it in the water. This was after charging the whole night. A real shame for an otherwise promising device.

Ordered for my husband for Christmas. He said he only used twice and then it just stopped working. By then was too late to return.

Awesome little fish finder works perfect for someone looking for a fish finder but doesn't want to shell out the money on a whole setup. just cast out the sonar and watch it on your screen also works great for ice fishing instead of spending 400$ on a flasher. The actual fish finder aspect of it is average I'm not sure how many fish its actually picking up but the depth finder is amazing for such a little gadget would definitely recommend to any serious angler wanting to know the water he's/she's fishing in

I used this system one time at a small pond down the street just to see if it worked and what the display looked like. It was awesome and I was excitedly looking forward to the time when I could use it for real while fishing. That opportunity came one week later. Unfortunately the handheld unit would not turn on. I thought maybe it had simply discharged over the past week so I plugged it in and let it charge for 3hrs. But it still would not turn on. I verified 5.17Vdc coming out of the USB charging cord, so that wasn't the problem. But I only measured 0.147Vdc on the handheld unit's charging posts (should read 4.2Vdc). Like I said, that was after charging for 3hrs. Bottom line, the handheld unit will not take a charge. I've already received a return authorization and will return it via UPS tomorrow. BUT, I really like the unit's potential and it's functionality the one time I used it. With crossed fingers, I've ordered another one in hopes that I just got a lemon the first time. But this time, I also ordered the 3yr extended warranty just in case of possible premature failure after the free Amazon return policy expires. I will gladly upgrade my current 1-Star rating once I get the new one and try it a few times.

So, I returned it. It's not too bad, but, man, all the three kinds of wireless fishfinders don't compare with the wired one I eventually kept. Talking about resolution here. You are gonna mind it.

fully charged the both pieces took it out to a local pond .. turned on the unit and it worked for about 5 minutes then totally quit. Would not boot back up or power up. Double checked the charge still never powered up. Sending it back tomorrow and wont be buying another>>>
