So my old Oral B toothbrush died. It was the first time I made any significant outlay for a toothbrush - and it helped clear up problems with my gums.Again I was hesitant to outlay so much on a toothbrush. And was thinking about a cheaper and lower model than what I had before.I love smart toothbrush as they clme with challenges and programme customisation your get - 30days better gums, 30days whiter teeth. You can also change the LED lighting, track your brushing, seek feedback in the app which also connects to Apple Health.OMG - how different this one is! It has a totally different brushing feel to my other Oral B device which was something like a Smart 4000. The new iO and AI technology really make a difference.This one leaves my teeth pristine. And they feel amazing to lick - such an incredible difference. With my first brush I couldn’t stop running about the house and telling everyone how incredibly clean my teeth felt. If there was such a thing: it was a teethgasm.The travel case is smart and unlike my old model will protect my travel bag from damage.The brush and sonic rotation on the head feels a lot smoother than other models. Almost more gentle yet more intense. Whatever they’ve done… we’ll teethgasm.The hold and device feels premium but I have critiqued it below for ease of use and accessibility, and this model could have a few improvements for people with hearing, sight or hold impairments.The Oral B range aid made by Braun in Germany and are very high quality. My last one lasted three years. I also cannot recommend the Oral B toothpastes enough.If environmentally minded: You can purchase third party recyclable heads here on Amazon. The packaging was almost plastic free. Well done Oral B!The price was cheapest here. And was delivered same day via Amazon.I have only been using for a week so can’t justify all the claims or battery life. I know that in the past Oral B brushes have taken forever to charge. The device came charge and it hasn’t told me it needs a charge yet.Critique:*It is a bit difficult to hold the device and know which way round is right. It can also make the on and off button hard to find. The grasp of the device could be more intuitive and isn’t accessible if you have sight, hand or hold impairments. You are reliant on feeling the buzz in your mouth and there is no audible or visual flash on the LED to tell you to change segments.*Even with price reductions this isn’t cheap but is value; it is made in Germany by Braun so is very high quality.*Id appreciate if two rather than one heads were provided as a starter*The buzz you get in between each 30 second segment (to tell you to brush a different part of your teeth) is a lot softer and you need to pay attention. It’s also hard to tell the difference between stop brushing and change segment.*The iO4 is the entry level model - the more advanced features are in the iO9 and iO10.The iO9 starts at £190. What you get extra is 3D tracking of your brushing and a much faster charge time. I couldn’t outlay that much but these features would be super useful to have in future entry level models.Depending on your budget iO4 (entry), iO6 (mid) or iO9/10 (top) are the models you want to buy. If charging time matters to you iO7 or iO9/10 are best.#firstteethgasm

Compared to an older model, I was using this one is a lot quieter, I like the fact there is a light that goes green when applying the correct pressure and goes red when too hard. Leaves a nice cleaning feeling. Would recommend and it looks good, the battery was dead when I received it but seems to be holding longer than my older one, I think the only bad point in the travel case looks and feels cheap compared to my old toothbrush, and would have been nice to have another toothbrush head included.

I really like the Oral B range and having used them before wanted to upgrade after my old brush finally died.These had good reviews and were on a Prime Offer. It was easy to set-up, but a bit fiddly to connect to Bluetooth as it timed out a couple of times.The cleaning aspect of it is fantastic, much better than my older model and I like the different types of brush heads available as well as the hygienic travel case with room for multiple heads - This saves having to switch to a travel brush like we used to.The two aspects I felt it could improve on are the battery aspect, which whilst it lasts long, takes a long time to charge, also for the price of the brush, a better brush head selection could have been included in the box. Also the brush heads themselves are very expensive

I have been using this toothbrush for more than a week and I am really impressed with the results. The toothbrush has a number of advanced features. First of all when brushing you can choose from four options which are Daily Clean, whitening, sensitive and super sensitive. I have also noticed that the battery life lasts a long time. I have only charged it once and been using it for over a week and the battery has not run out faster.Another thing I liked the most is that your progress can be tracked using an app. It lets you see when you brushed your teeth even if not connected to Bluetooth. You can also work towards a goal and the app will give you a personalised routine to follow each time.The only thing I would improve is if the toothbrush connected quickly to Bluetooth. It took me a few minutes on each try before the device was connected to my phone. I am very happy with this purchase overall and highly recommend.

I’ve used Oral B electric toothbrushes for many years, but have never tried the newer iO range. I took the plunge on the iO4 and I’m so glad I did. It is a completely different brushing experience with the iO vs. my older Oral-B toothbrush. The iO4 is clearly more powerful and makes a different noise than my previous models, but it is also very silent. Battery life so far seems excellent.The best bit about this toothbrush is how clean your mouth both feels and looks after brushing. It almost feels like I have been to the dentist and had my teeth professionally cleaned. I can visibly see my teeth look cleaner vs. when using my previous toothbrush.I opted for the black model, which looks and feels premium. It’s easy to rinse and clean after brushing.The iO4 model lights up to tell you if the brushing pressure is just right, or too soft/hard. The brush also vibrates after 30 seconds indicating you should move to the next quadrant of your mouth (total 2 minutes suggested brushing time). You can also apparently connect your phone via Bluetooth to an app on your phone to get a brushing report. I’m not really interested in the Bluetooth element, as I don’t feel it will tell me anything I don’t already know.I’d definitely recommend taking the plunge and upgrading if you aren’t sure. I’ve seen and experienced the benefits, which has even convinced me to upgrade others in my family to the iO range as well!
