If you work in the field of facial esthetics then this is the calipers you want to buy. I have spent so many hours searching for Dr. Kent's calipers and this one is IT. I also searched for Dr.Swift calipers but these are no where to be found though I contacted Dr. Swift himself. So this is a great replacement and does the job perfectly.I was skeptical to order at first because this item didn't have many reviews, but i'm writing this to assure you that the calipers are sturdy, professional and precise. They cannot be laid flat and thus need to be be operated upright like a bow compass. The calipers can take measurements in both metric and imperial and a dial allows them to be fixed into place while drawing. The case that holds the calipers is a beautiful work of industrial design. It is sturdy and slides open and shut with magnets. This lock and load mechanism produces a thoroughly satisfying click. In short, this is a beautiful, accurate, and elegant tool.
